Well, all those Twitter weirdos raging about JRPG sword fighters who still paradoxically wanted Sora are hopefully ecstatic.
Honestly, I’m fine with it, given how many people wanted it and the effort involved.

Beats Goku. Not that I'm thrilled about Sora (Kingdom Hearts is... not one of my favorite franchises, to say the least), but I do wish the last character would have been a bit more interesting. Oh well! I haven't played Ultimate in a long time anyway, who cares what I think.
And yeah, Disney sucks.

I mean don't get me wrong, I sure as hell don't like Disney trying to monopolize all of media, but at the same time this isn't like Disney bought Nintendo or something.
Also, I'd probably be angrier if it was Jonesy from Fortnite or Tracer from Overwatch, so different tolerance levels for different kinds of corporate bullshit. Hell, I'd probably still be irked if it was Rayman or the Prince of Persia, and I like those IPs.

Looks like there is only Square Enix content in this pack, no Disney proper content. The deal might literally have only been with Square Enix. We'll have to wait for the credits to confirm whether it's pure, though.
Looks fun. With that really strong recovery and simple kit, they might be the fighter to get me to feel brave enough to chase enemies off-stage for the KO. Most of the time I'm too conscious of the fact that if they defend themselves successfully I'll probably die, but Sora can probably make it back safely even if they get outplayed offscreen.
Now, to business. According to the community predictions, nobody guessed Sora, and not a single damn one of us got a single pass 2 DLC fighter right. However, @Seven mentioned both Pyra and Mythra, which I think technically makes them the winner. I bid you name a boon, stalwart warrior.

Looks fun. With that really strong recovery and simple kit, they might be the fighter to get me to feel brave enough to chase enemies off-stage for the KO. Most of the time I'm too conscious of the fact that if they defend themselves successfully I'll probably die, but Sora can probably make it back safely even if they get outplayed offscreen.

FYI, I'm glad Terry Bogard was added BEFORE SNK was purchased by a murderous despot's PR Non Profit so my enjoyment of his inclusion can remain untainted.

I had guessed Octoling, and a few people mentioned Doomguy. Even though they ended up as Mii costumes, they're in the game at least.
And that's a really good costume! I was just complaining that the DLC costumes didn't have many good options for Gunners. I've had Akira as Brawler and Arthur as Swordfighter for a while, but I never really settled on a Gunner costume. Doom Slayer feels just right.
Sora is fine. Yeah, Disney sucks, and I don't like Kingdom Hearts. But, he feels like a good final character anyway. I would have been unhappy with Fortnite or an Activision character, and a Pokemon would have felt like a letdown. Sora is popular and somewhat unexpected (I had counted him out because of Disney), and he comes from a series that's all about crossovers. It feels like a reasonably good way to end the game. His air-heavy style seems interesting, and I really like the rotating spells gimmick. I tend to take to red-mage style characters like Robin and Sephiroth, so I feel like Sora's gameplay style is in my wheelhouse. We'll see though.

Not thrilled about Sora, but not super surprised either. It's a 'big' enough reveal for the final one. This was never going to Waluigi.
Pulling a Cloud with this and not giving us any remixes though, but at least we get six tracks instead of two.
Wish we got the original Kingdom Hearts (PS2) version of One Winged Angel, though. That specific one is still my favorite remix of that track.
