Regarding my nominations (here and with DKC1), I opted to go for songs from collaborative soundtracks where the male half of the collaboration has (historically) received effectively all of the credit. Per-track credits exist for a lot of games, and in the case of Super Metroid I think it is interesting how Minako was the one who composed most of the rawer, more atmospheric tracks, as well as all the boss themes. Her contribution to the game's musical identity is vastly undersung.

First let's cool down with the "Ice Cave Chant" from Donkey Kong Country 3. Eveline Novakovic actually did the voice of Dixie in the GBA games. And Tiny (via archive sound). It's up against "You're Not Here" from Silent Hill 3. Appropriately, she appears as a singer in the Silent Hill movie so... it did something right.Match 25

We'll start with Phantasy Star Online and "Image of Hero". Fumie Kumatani did this one and is primarily known for her work on Sonic games. Then it's "Valley" from Pokémon Snap. Ikuko Mimori did this and also did R-Type III for the Super NES.Match 26
