These matchups were both hard decisions, but for the opposite reasons.

Tetris Effect and Mega Man.

I'll post the results in a bit.
Match 13

First we have Gungage with "The Road for Underground". This is by Michiru Yamane, who is well known for her Castlevania work (and her Bloodstained work). Against it is Sonic 06 with "Aquatic Base - Level 2". This is by Mariko Nanba, who contributed quite a bit to the Sonic franchise between 1996 and 2010.

Match 14

First we have DDR 7th Mix with "Sweet Sweet ♥ Magic" from rhythm game vet Junko Karashima and Ebony Fay, who did several tracks for the DDR franchise! Then its Kunio-Kun descendant River City Girls with "Bully". It's by Megan McDuffee, whose been working in movie, TV and games for a while now and made her own album Inner Demon.

River City Girls knocks some heads while Sonic outpaces the competition.

Match 15

And now we head into the last two match ups of round one. First is "Rockface Rumble" from Donkey Kong Country 3. This one is from Eveline Novakovic who actually did the voice of Joana Dark in Perfect Dark. Then we have the "Ending Credits" from Splatterhouse 3. Eiko Kaneda did this one but I can't find much about her, save she also did Splatterhouse 2.

Match 16

Now let's closer things off with some greats. First, it's a new arrangement of "Stickerbush Symphony" from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Michiko Naruke did this one. based on the original composition from David Wise. Then it's Terranigma and "Departure (Underworld)". Miyoko Kobayashi did this and... a lot of games with Atelier in the title.

Ending Credits and Stickerbush Symphony

That second match was a tough choice. I think I easily could have voted for the Terranigma song in a different matchup.

Peklo

Oh! Create!
(they/them, she/her)
"Ending Credits" and "Departure (Underworld)". I don't blame you for not finding much information about Kaneda as she's effectively a ghost outside of the few composing credits that exist and the incredible MILKY EIKO pseudonym. Even the assumption of womanhood is conjecture on my part, based on the first name which is primarily feminine... but not always. Whatever the case, I love their work, and though Splatterhouse already had a strong musical identity from the first game on, Kaneda brought it to even greater heights of goofy horror pulsations.

As for Terranigma, a lot of things blew me away about it but the music was always foremost on my mind. Just oozing drama with every note.

Splatterhouse and Donkey Kong are TIED! Hopefully someone can break the tie. Smash Bros makes a close win.

Round 2

Match 17

New round, new sound! First, it’s X-Men Vs. Street Fighter with “Gambit Stage”. This is another one by Capcom vet Yuki Iwai. Fun fact: apparently her brother did the sax arrangement for Zangief’s theme. Against it is "First Steps" from Celeste. This is by Lena Raine, whose work can be heard in an upcoming game Earthblade.

Match 18

And our last match of the day is "Hymn of Light" from Child of Light. This is by Béatrice Martin under her stage name Cœur de pirate. Then we have "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms" from Mario RPG by heavy hitter Yoko Shimomura. You can actually by a 'best of' album of her work called Drammatica if you want more in your life!
