IT'S A PIXEL STYLED BEAT EM UP FROM 10 YEARS AGO, WHICH I SUPPOSE IS IT'S OWN BRAND OF "RETRO" AT THIS POINT. ASPECTS OF IT HAVE AGED POORLY COMPARED TO "MODERN RETRO" BEAT EM UPS SUCH AS STREETS OF RAGE 4. THE ANIMATION IS VERY FLUID, AS IT WAS DONE BY THAT ONE DUDE WHO DID ALL THE GROSS HORNY PIXEL ARTS.So uh...I've never played the game. What am I in fo-

I have not played River City Girls, but have played and beaten Streets of Rage 4. From what I gather the former is more "meaty" but the latter has "depth". Would you say this Scott Pilgrim game is more of the former? It’s a River City Ransom-eque beat em up, and its biggest issue is one it shares with River City Girls in that it can a little too grindy if playing solo. It’s not bad, but the genre has made somewhat of a come back since then, so compared to other newer options you may find it lacking.
