I'd actually be surprised if the next console isn't backwards compatible with Switch games.I'm probably due for an updated Switch. But, like @Aurelia, I'm holding out for the Switch 2. Unless of course they make it incompatible and then I'll have to buy a new switch and switch 2.

Yeah I think it'd be utterly baffling for a Switch successor or pro console to not be BC with its library. Would definitely stop me from picking one up in its first few years for sure.I'd actually be surprised if the next console isn't backwards compatible with Switch games.
