It will probably be extremely difficult to find any first-hand opinions of them as they'd require experience rooted in niche hobbyism thirty years past, embedded in Japanese nerd circles and exclusively in the language. My old box art post where I briefly showcased these Lodoss games might as well be the most I've seen of them written or acknowledged in English, so barring overcoming the language barrier first and foremost I'm content to admire them from afar. Lodoss is carried by aesthetic and tone for the most part, so it's not a bad arrangement. Glad the lesser-known titles are seeing a rerun, in any case.
