I'd be doing the same hunt for shiny Kyogre right now tbh but I'm wondering if it's going to be available in the second DLC of SV
EDIT: Also, rereading my post above, I worded it weirdly. It took me thousands of resets, and the first shiny Arceus I found Struggle'd itself to death, I just could not capture the jerk. So I had to keep resetting, hence the "two tries"

I am all for hoarding master balls and never even considering taking them out of the ol' ball pocket... But I might make an exception if I encountered the shiny mutation of god.
When I first played BDSP (because yes, I've played through both versions for reasons I don't even understand), I never expected to shiny hunt any legendary, so I lazily chucked both Master Balls at Dialga and Palkia. I was very frustrated with my past self when that first shiny god killed itself. I will not be making that mistake again (he says, having used his Master Balls in SV lol).
The following is a threat for Kazin:
In everything that was announced regarding the new DLC that will be released next week, they also announced that Milcery (and Litwick and Flabebe) will be in a "mass outbreak" event from 12/8-12/21. Milcery evolves into Alcremie. I believe there are 63 different versions of Alcremie. All of them "can" be shiny.

I'm aware of Alcremie's ridiculous number of shinies and I'm trying not to think about it, thanks lmao
(fwiw those outbreaks, Flabebe included, apparently have increased shiny odds, so if I can't get the 5 different types of shinies for that line - and their f***ing evolutions, so fifteen different shinies total for just that one evolution line - I'm not going to bother with all the different Alcremie's ffs)
BTW I've also caught 1/4,096 odds shiny Heatran and shiny Kyogre over the past few days, currently trying for Rayquaza. I have a problem

It's so funny you linked that VOD - I was actually there for a decent chunk of that stream. I watch Arlie's Twitch channel haha. For whatever reason, I couldn't chat (apparently you need to be a follower of the GDQ Twitch for 24+ hours to chat), so I wasn't in that chat, but she makes videos for YT and you can occasionally see "KazinWho" pop up in her chat feed in her videos from the past few months - that's me lol.
And, er, I've caught literally every shiny available in those games (at least, one for every Pokedex entry, I don't have like all the Alcremie forms and whatnot, I'm not that stupid [lmao I totally am]), so I know all the tricks she talks about in that video haha. Thanks for thinking of me though!
