And Ryu wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer. Street Fighter 6

So this is just rough outline, so in all of SF history only 14 years has passed and 2002 is the last date of events
That's kind of a lot for anyone who does an intensive athletic where he is constantly getting destroyed. Even if this means he's 30, I feel like he's now the big megaboss and the series should be about the young people seeing if they can match up to him.

Well Ryu is always sorta on the outside of the main plot. He's struggling with all the evil Hadou shit, having run ins with Akuma.

Then meanwhile Capcom brings in new heroes that sort of fizzle (Alex and Abel come to mind). Basically he is here by popular demand as the OG.
SF3 was that - Ryu and Ken were the older fighters, and everyone else was the "New Generation"

Ryus whole deal is that he’s trying to find someone he can fight without Hulking out into Evil Ryu, so he’s kind of the guy looking for the a king he can can come at and not miss

Yeah but always a bit accidental.

They show the outline of Ryu's dick in the trailer, congratulations to Ryu. Luke looks like shit and he looks like a different kinda shit in SFV, why is this guy here, no one on Earth thinks he's cool. Wide Ryu's beard is thinner than SFV's Hot Ryu DLC outfits' beard. I mean at least now Beard Ryu is canon but come on, make it burlier. The logo looks like shit. Nothing is known about the game so I dunno, whatever. We'll see

One of the fighters in SF5 is the guy who founded Striders clan, so those games must be canon
Wait, what's this all about now?

Anyway, SF6... I have SFV, but have yet to play it. If 6 comes to Xbox, I may give it a shot regardless.

The collection, though? I am down for that. My only complaint as of now is that they didn't use one of the HD versions of SFII, which I don't believe has been released on a platform yet that has a good Dpad for it.

One of the guys released early on as DLC (and I am blanking on his name) has an alternate outfit based on Hiryu, and his arcade mode ending involves him deciding to start his own clan of ninjas dedicated to righting wrongs and struggling to come up with a name, while the ghost of Hiryu admonishes him for not immediately thinking of Strider

The character is Zeku for the record, canonically Guy's master and a partial though not total replacement for Guy in the SFV roster.

I think we can all agree that logo sucks.

But I think it CAPCOM maybe giving players a preview of what's to come in SF6.

The logo is hexagonal shaped which leads me to believe that SF6 will not be a fighting game in the traditional sense. It may in fact be a turn-based strategy game that takes place on a hexagonal map where teams of street fighters face off.

The fighters probably have abilities tied to cards that can be earned through extreme grinding or a small fee in the SF6 store.

There's...like, a negative percent chance of that happening. Like if I bet money that it wouldn't happen, it would so not happen that I'd have to pay you somehow.

They'll definitely find a way to work microtransactions/DLC into the equation, though!

This is absolutely correct.

Let’s put this in the right thread this time!

This will never happen, but I’d love to see a Street Fighter game in which Sakura is an honest-to-Pete grownup who is recognized as Ryu’s successor. Give her an actual gi and everything.

Also, an outfit for Cammy that includes actual pants.

Cammy CAN'T wear pants! The "camo" on her legs is really chlorophyll. She breaths exclusively through her thighs and would die if she ever put pants on!

So, what you’re saying is that the Dolls are actually plants? I’m seeing the potential for some Street Fighter/Invasion of the Body-Snatchers crossover here.

Cammy's cameo design in Final Fight: Streetwise featured some heavy camo pants and it looked pretty great:

There's a SFV mod floating around based on it and it looks good enough to be official. Apparently this design also made its way into Fortnite as an alt. It's... maybe the only positive thing that came out of Streetwise.

It's Zeku. I had to look it up; I thought it was "Zaku" or something.

Yeah, he's Guy's master, as seen in his ending in Street Fighter Alpha 2
That is awesome. I had no idea about this, and I love the idea of the Striders being an offshoot/successor to Guy's clan.

Phantoon

I cuss you bad
Basically, Zeku has two styles which you can switch between on the fly: Bushinryu ninjitsu, which is Guy's style, and his own new style. His new style is basically Strider style, he's the first of the Striders. It's a brilliant, brilliant idea, but it makes him insanely technical.

So Darkstalkers on collection.
So do you think any of these will be smashed together versions of 3 so all characters available? Or will it be all characters separated in the 3 versions?
