Talking time has listed its Top 50 NES Games, its Top 50 16-Bit Games, and its Top 50 Games of the first 17 years of the 21st Century. There is, however, one era of gaming we have not tackled yet, and it is one of the most important in gaming history. Fortunately, this list will remedy that. So let's find out what TT's Top 50 games of the dawning of 3D gaming are!
1) The Basics
PM me a list of up to 25 games from the 32/64-Bit era. You may use any criteria you wish, but please number them. #1 will get 35 points, 2 will get 34, all the way down to 25 which will get 11. After the deadline passes I will tabulate the points and produce the list. The thread will be up shortly after.
2) The Deadline
The cutoff for receiving lists is 11:59 PM on Wednesday, April 14th.
3) What Counts?
Kirin was nice enough to compile a list of the main systems that qualify:
If you know of any other systems that qualify and want to nominate a game from that system, please do.
4) Remakes, Ports and Multiplatform Releases
For ports and remakes, a straight port from an older generation (Like Final Fantasy Anthology/Chronicles) would not count, but a full remake like Final Fantasy Origins or the Lunar Complete games would qualify for the list. If a game is multiplatform and there is enough of a difference between the releases, please specify which version of the game you are nominating.
5) Blurbs
If you want to write a little bit about each of your choices, please submit it with your list (or separately, if you want to do it that way, especially if they are on the longer side). If your game makes the list or gets chosen as an honorable mention, I will include your blurb.
That's all I can think of, but if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask in the thread or through PM. Happy listing!

Kirin was nice enough to compile a list of the main systems that qualify:
- N64
- PlayStation
- Saturn
- Jaguar
- 3DO
- PC-FX
- 32X on a Genesis
- FM Towns Marty
- Amiga CD32
- Apple Pippin
- Casio Loopy
- PC and Arcadr Games released between 1996 and 2000 are also eligible. Please use your best judgement when deciding which such games to include. Cnonchobhar has given some good guidelines downthread.
for arcade/PC games, their eligibility should be based on where their console port was (or, failing that, whether it "feels like" a PS1/N64/Saturn game or not) rather than just their release year.
- Handheld games are not eligible for this list.
If you know of any other systems that qualify and want to nominate a game from that system, please do.
