Can't fault the hustleMeanwhile, here's a listing for batteries from the 1980s selling for $100 because they originally came with a Game & Watch. They're not even Nintendo branded!
At the risk of being hypocritical having just sold items for way more than anyone should pay for them, I'm with you here. It'd be one thing if the batteries were Nintendo branded! Though even then, $100...I absolutely can, will, and do fault the hustle on that one.
What?My copy of Pokemon Sapphire (with new save battery, finally did it lol) sold via best offer just now for $300, original BIN was $350.
If you have complete Pokemon games, now's a good time to sell 'em.
Jeebus. My son has been angling for copies of the 3DS Pokemon titles, and now I'm dreading what they'll cost me.I can't believe how much Dreamcasts are worth now. Relatedly, I'm now selling my Sega Sports edition one lol. I don't expect to get that much, though. I'm hoping for $175, which seems to be the going rate for that model.
I also sold my 3DS copies of Dragon Quest VIII, VII, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright, and SMTIV Apocalypse over the last week, for $100, $80, $100, and $85, respectively.
I don't think the 3DS Pokemon games are too bad yet - most are at or around original MSRP iirc. Though I'd pick them up soon if you're going to.Jeebus. My son has been angling for copies of the 3DS Pokemon titles, and now I'm dreading what they'll cost me.
The bit about collecting that I love the most is whether the game is an abomination or not has no bearing on the price. In fact, being something that nobody bought makes it more likely to be "valuable"I mean, I'm not THAT surprised, the game sold like shit on release (I paid full price, but iirc it dropped to like $40 within two or so weeks, it was bananas), so it's probably somewhat uncommon now, but also: everyone but a few select folks (myself included) hated it. And I haven't seen/heard some kind of big critical re-evaluation of it.
Yeah, someone mentioned the other day on Twitter that the PS3 version of Splatterhouse went up a bunch in price, and... yeah, it's hovering around $100 now. Which, like, the 360 version is in the $35-$50 range? Is it just because of the PSN-mageddon?

They aren't unopened, but I have IV-VI, and I'm sorely tempted to sell at least one of them. It's too bad V goes for the most, since I don't think I would ever sell that one.I sold my unopened copy of Dragon Quest VI DS for $175 and I felt like a GameStop executive charging that much for a game I paid $30 for a decade ago.

Although the fact you liked it means I really have to check it out...
