The trailer for a trailer for a movie that was released 3 three years ago; I never thought I'd see the like.
Snyder Cut is gonna come out, and it's gonna be Cyberpunk 2077: The Movie
I have no idea what the Cut-stans are hoping for and I don't think they do either.
Alright I'm all caught up with BATWOMAN.
THE GOOD: the villian of the week this time was GREAT. "Oh hi Batwoman you're here to fight me that's cool wow you're so neat hey wanna see my ANTI AIRCRAFT MISSLE!!" That's the kinda goofyass shit this show desperately needed an injection of. Hopefully he'll become a recurring badguy because he was SO MUCH MORE FUN to watch than The ALICE LOVES HER SISTER AND THATS WHY SHE HAD TO KILL HER show.
THE DUMB AS SHIT: The lategame reveal that OG BATWOMAN is maybe alive in a vault somewhere but YOU GOTTA DO WHAT WE SAY TO SEE HER AND THAT MEANS YOU GOTTA WORK WITH THE BADGUY shit was FUCKING TIRED the first 5 times arrow did it for obviously manufactured reasons for nobody to stop the bad gal this episode. "HOW DID YOU GET THAT NECKLACE!" screams the unstoppable criminal genius Alice, not realizing that you can just buy cheapass lockets like that one at stores. CLEARLY THAT MEANS YOU HAVE RUBY ROSE ALIVE IN A VALUT SOMEWHERE AND MAYBE IF I DO WHAT YOU SAY SHE'LL COME BACK.

I am OVER Ruby Rose leaving the show. She was too good for this basic cable garbage to begin with. Her vanishing into the mist was inevitable WAAAY before the fuckwits on set almost paralyzed her, but I'm sure that made the choice a hell of a lot easier.
So why the hell is the show so obsessed with assuring me that she'll be back any moment now we swear! No she fucking wont! Any chance of that happening is LONG gone! The show twisting itself into knots to keep hope alive is resulting in a new season with a new batwoman THAT'ST STILL ENTIRELY OBSESSED WITH THE OLD DEAD BATWOMAN. I mean, yeah, that tracks, the entire first season was WAY more obsessed with Kate Kane than Batwoman herself, but this is just sad and desperate.
You ever known that one guy who's so obsessed with their ex, that even though they have a new girlfriend, all they ever do is pine over their old girlfriend, EVEN WHEN THEIR NEW GIRLFRIEND IS RIGHT THERE?
That's what this show is doing. I didn't even know a TV show COULD do that but here we are.
This show is bad.

Also I am happy to report that even though THE BAD GAL and WORST CHARACTER EVER spent 99% of the episode in EVIL MARTHA'S VINYARD, the show somehow still found a way to include a scene of BAD GAL having a conversation with someone who's day job is trying to stop BAD GAL, and then walking away somehow unstopped. That's four instances in this season so far! They're ahead of the once per ep schedule!
Why do they even keep doing that. BAD GAL only wanted to talk to them so she could be all like "YOU SEE DEARRR SIIIISSSTER" to Ruby who would be like "UGGGH I AM TOO EMOTIONALLY PARALIZED TO GRAB YOU AND STOP YOU FROM DOING MORE MURDERS!" But ruby's not even here! It's just her annoying and then walking away from people Ruby knew at this point!
I mean fucking seriously, CW writers you GOTTA find a way to quit this shit already.

It's really too bad. They should have just recast Kate and pretended nothing happened. Worst case scenario, you have Barry Allen zip by the screen fast and pretend he changed history again or something. The knots they're tying themselves into, to rationalize this shift in the status quo is maddening and it's not helping this new Batwoman be her own character.
I'm hoping for a movie that's similar to good movies "Man of Steel" and "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice: Ultimate Edition," and by jingo, it looks like I'm getting more than I dared expect.
I know it's not exactly equivalent, but this reminds me of an old argument I've read that even if Batman never wants to kill the Joker due to his own strict moral compass, the Joker would most likely be dead eventually since there would be plenty of relatives/friends of his victims that would want to take him out.
Sure, and that's the reasonable expectation that most would hope for. But the people who've been clamoring for this since the original movie dropped are die hard superfans that are rarely satisfied by anything.
I have the gut feeling this is going to be more of a Blade Runner: Final Cut or Alien 3: Director's Cut situation though.
The theatrical cut of Justice League (2017) is estimated to contain at most 40 minutes of footage shot under Zack Snyder's direction out of its 120-minute running time. Thinking of it as effectively an entirely new movie rather than a revision might put it in a different context for you.
So this is like a Richard Donner's cut of Superman II situation

So I'm still watching Arrow and frankly I'm lukewarm at best on the DCTVU, though for its failings Legends of Tomorrow seems to remember that superheroes are silly and fun, even when I'm getting bored with whatever the big threat of the season is. I didn't feel any need to comment on it as I slowly catch up but... Spectre of the Gun. Wow. WOW. WOOOW is that a very bad hour of TV with a completely tonedeaf non-take take on gun control. Fucking what was that? Its fucking ludicrous. If a show is so desperate to say NOTHING on an issue, why even broach the question in the first place. The best the show could belch up was "well, some people like it and some people don't. I guess different people believe in different things." And the villain is a gun CONTROL nut who tries to solve the issue with guns? This is the most inane and fruitless special episode. I'm amazed this made it to TV.
LOL that was a particularly bad one. Can't wait to see what you think of the ending at this rate.
