That's all of them except the yellow guy up top: Huff N. Puff from Paper Mario. I'm impressed - I thought Mokura was the most obscure, but I forgot that he also shows up in Bowser's Poison Gas special. The most notable cloud from Super Mario RPG for sure.

I was pretty dang sure that guy was from a Mario spin-off but couldn't quite place which one and Google wasn't being helpful with my attempts to find an image via vague description.

Day 25 - "Pour"
I was kind of experimenting with a brush pen and hoping to achieve a sort of Yoji Shinkawa look, but it wasn't working and I just kept filling in more of the shadows and I ended up with this. I probably should have blocked things out better in the sketch instead of winging it, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not what I was looking for, but it turned out ok, I guess. I might have to try that again someday.

Thank you all! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, outside of maybe the level of detail on Rydia (and some composition issues with the uncropped version). The drawing is about 5.5''x5.5'' so it was hard to do much even with my thinnest liner. I might redraw it at poster size after October is over.

Here's day 28 - "Giant"
In line with the Shibuya and Yoshida and technically Nomura style pictures I've done this month, I wanted to see if I could pull off something in Nomura's style circa 1996. I was planning to ink this, but I got kind of carried away while sketching and I kind of like how it turned out so I decided to share it in its WIP state.
I guess I should probably do a bootleg Amano before the end of the month.
Can anyone name the character?

I missed two days this year -- yesterday's "Burden" (because I spent too much time on the Pirotess drawing) and whatever day "Eclipse" was (because I spent too much time on the Dread Samus drawing). I may go back to do those prompts in the next few days. Or maybe I won't.

I missed two days this year -- yesterday's "Burden" (because I spent too much time on the Pirotess drawing) and whatever day "Eclipse" was (because I spent too much time on the Dread Samus drawing). I may go back to do those prompts in the next few days. Or maybe I won't.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with how things turned out this year. I feel like the drawings I did tended to be more developed than previous years and I don't feel like I necessarily spent any more time on them. I hope that means I'm getting faster, lol. I also played with digital a little bit and think those turned out pretty ok. I hadn't really tried painting in that style before. It's mostly monochrome at this point, but I like how fast it went and am looking forward to trying somethings with it now that we're out of October and there's less pressure to finish things.
On the "algorithm"/social media side, my most popular drawing was the one of Jill from VA-11 Hall-A ("Potion"), which is funny because I went to bed that night really frustrated with how it had turned out. After that was the Rotty Tops picture, then the Morrigan & Lilith picture, then the Ultima picture. It looks like the pieces that have boobs in them significantly performed better than those that did not, which is probably surprising to no one.
The Rydia drawing drew the most comments, at least, which I was happy about because I really like how it turned out. As for the ones that didn't get much of a reaction... the least popular were the ones I didn't bother tagging with anything and the ones that were purely original (not fanart), which I suppose makes sense because they probably simply didn't end up in as many feeds.
None of this really matters because I draw for myself more than I draw for "numbers", but I do think it's interesting to think about sometimes.
