The rules governing tags on TT 2.0 were simple: a thread's creator could post five, other users could post two each, threads could have a maximum of 25 tags, and the character limit was always one less than the really good goof you just thought of.
But here? Here the situation is less clear. All I know so far is that a tag must be at least four characters long. So rather than bothering the mods for the answers, let's tag the shit out of this thread and see what happens. Please post any interesting findings!
EDIT: The tag prompt when making a thread says "Please enter 4 or more characters." But then once I've posted the thread and go to add more tags, it instead says "Please enter 2 or more characters"... But if I try to post a 2-letter tag, it tells me it's invalid.
EDIT 2: Through experimentation, the maximum tag length appears to be 64 characters.
EDIT 3: Upon further consideration, I should have posted this in Talking About Talking Time. Can a mod please move it?
