While I love my pep on my pizza (especially when paired with mushrooms or jalapenos), there are so many great options for topping a pie that I'll deal.
Also, regarding goat cheese, I once got a goat cheese pizza with olive oil/garlic base from a local place, and then smoked duck from a nearby pan-Asian cuisine restaurant. I then proceeded to pull the duck and put it on the goat cheese pizza. It was so rich I could only eat a couple of slices at a time, but it was also one of the most wonderful food experiences of my life.
