Non-DC, Non-Marvel, Non-Manga COMICS

Bill Watterson, of Calvin and Hobbes, put out a small book last year called The Mysteries. Did anybody here know? I certainly didn’t until I saw it in a bookstore and picked it up last week.

I got around to reading it today, and I keep thinking about it. It’s very short, but at the same time, quite a lot.
 
It's Free Comic Book Day so that gave me a perfect opportunity to get almost the entire run of Astro City.

Also the Alyssa Wong Dr. Aphra series, but that's a Marvel comic and thus not in the purview of this thread
 
Just finished Displacement by Kiku Hughes, a graphic novel about a teenager who is warped back to the Japanese internment camps her grandmother was in. It chronicles life there but also talks about the loss of culture through that experience and how this relates to Trump America. It's a young adult book but I would still recommend it to adults.
 
I’ve had Scott McCloud’s Zot! on my radar for a while, but waited until recently to buy the black and white collection. I was surprised to read that there were ten earlier Zot! comics in full color format. I found one collection of the earlier issues, but it’s only the first four issues, and I can’t find the later issues in the normal channels. It is unfortunate.

The first four color issues are pretty neat. Anybody else here read this series?
 
Okay, read the first four issues of the IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, and *Hot damn* this has *the juice*

I read scattered issues before so I know the broad strokes of where things are going but this book is great right from the jump.

It’s more like an Absolute TMNT book.
