This has me stumped though. See all I can find is these weird black and white photocopies.

That's artwork of Shizumaru Hisame / Hisame Shizumaru from the Samurai Shodown series. It was posted on the Twitter of artist Eiji Shiroi who did a lot of print artwork for the series. It's interesting that she went with an older look and a casual & peaceful setting for the character. It's also interesting that she excluded the sword that he usually carries. Also she normally works in color so I'm not sure why she went with black and white for this. Still looks nice though.

This is a bit of a complicated one. That's Ringo Starr of The Beatles. Back in the 60s the band really got into The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings so they commissioned a comic of those books and had themselves inserted as cameos. Unfortunately they didn't get the rights so their lawyers and Tolkien's blocked the comic from being published and made everyone keep quiet about it. But some of that comic did get out but the Tolkien estate tends to drop the dwarven Warhammer on anyone who posts it - which is why you never really hear about it.
