Sounds like you might be the coward.Like did you seriously think I'd forgive them not ending on a Grim total party kill because they gave hand-wrapped gifts to the shippers?
I'm fucking allergic to shipping come on you all know this.

It’s true and you should say it.if you're calling them a coward then you're calling him a coward
Ending in a manner consistent with Breath of the Wild canon means releasing a game with every character's development unfinished. Even on that basis alone, they made the right call.Like did you seriously think I'd forgive them not ending on a Grim total party kill because they gave hand-wrapped gifts to the shippers?

Sounds like the game was sold under a false pretense to me, but I'd have to go back and re-read what was said for their precise wording, but I can't be arsed.
Breath of the Wild because Hyrule is in a ruined state still, and that means it’s 100 years later.Eeeeeh...
The game felt like it was being pitched to us as a prequel to BotW, but then it creates a separate timeline in which BotW doesn't seem to occur, and so therefore cannot actually take place before an event that doesn't happen.
Again, though, I would need to review their wording versus what everyone made of it.
Makes me wonder what the BotW sequel takes place after now...
I found one attack that WILL break through Daruk's Protection: the Lynel's AOE slam attack that has the big red zone indicator. I was redoing Innkeeper's Request and the one at the end hit me through the shield.I think I'm starting to get the hang of Daruk. I don't mean the nuances of doing sick jumps off of magma ramps. Rather, it's this: I don't think there's a single attack in the whole game that can even make you flinch if you block it with Daruk's Protection, and most enemies expose their weak point gauges for a little bit after their attacks even if you don't dodge at all.
Pretty much this, though I must contest the first part. The game itself is very clear about what it is from the very first scene.
The marketing, though, is a pack of lies. The first trailer starts with “It’s time you find out what happened 100 years ago.” The page for the game on Nintendo’s website uses similar wording, saying it’s the “only way” to see what happened.
I’m glad I spoiled myself on it, because I would have been pissed otherwise. As it is I’m just kind of bored. I am gritting my teeth at my husband’s excited anticipation of what isn’t actually coming, and trying to talk down some of my friends who don’t know what a musuo is by telling them they shouldn’t buy it for the story, but the fun hack and slash. If you’ve played a musuo you know to expect fanfic. A lot of people haven’t, and I think it’s reasonable for them to be disappointed.
Nintendo absolutely whipped people up on this game using false premises. That’s not the game’s fault, per se, as it sets up an alternate timeline in the first scene. But the trailers and ad copy for the game that I’ve seen don’t mention time travel at all, and characterize it as a serious retelling of a tragedy.
Yeah, uh, wow, this is super broken. Does any other character have something nearly as reliable to force out the weak gauge? Because otherwise it seems sub-optimal to play with anyone but Link.I mean, weak, strong, up in the air, weak, weak, weak, arrow volley will stagger anything with a head weakpoint and almost always end up with a dead moblin.
