So what is Game Over? I don't know! Let's have a discussion about it. I originally intended it as the music that plays when you die, or run out of lives, or reached a game's fail state. But, I can certainly understand that people think of it as when they have completed the game. I don't want to be too restrictive here. But, I don't want this to be an "end credits" or "end cut scene" thunder dome. Perhaps if a track plays over a "game end" screen that would qualify. If when you think Game Over when you hear this music then by all means nominate it! Let your heart guide you!
Finally, he gets to the point! Please nominate up to TWO tracks in this thread by linking to a youtube/bandcamp/etc. Nominations end Tuesday, 30 March at 9:00 PM PDT (UTC-7). Remember to post your nominations as a list of links, and not a list of embeds!
Q: What if I want to make a third nomination
A: I will allow if it the bracket requires it. I will make a post in this thread requesting additional nominations
Q: Is this just limited to video game music?
A: Do other forms of media have a "game over" state? If so I suppose you can nominate them.
Q: This music plays when you die but not when you lose all your lives and the game resets.
A: Sounds like a game over to me.
Q: This music plays when you lose all your lives but not when you lose a life.
A: Sounds like a game over to me.
Q: This music plays when you "insert criteria here."
A: Look, you're busy. I'm busy. If you tell me this is a game over track I'm going to believe you.
Q: I've never heard Game Over music. I'm the best at video games.
A: Whatever you need to tell yourself friend.
Now let's nominate all the things!
