Game Over Dome - Nomination Thread

Welcome to the nomination thread for the Game Over Dome!

So what is Game Over? I don't know! Let's have a discussion about it. I originally intended it as the music that plays when you die, or run out of lives, or reached a game's fail state. But, I can certainly understand that people think of it as when they have completed the game. I don't want to be too restrictive here. But, I don't want this to be an "end credits" or "end cut scene" thunder dome. Perhaps if a track plays over a "game end" screen that would qualify. If when you think Game Over when you hear this music then by all means nominate it! Let your heart guide you!

Finally, he gets to the point! Please nominate up to TWO tracks in this thread by linking to a youtube/bandcamp/etc. Nominations end Tuesday, 30 March at 9:00 PM PDT (UTC-7). Remember to post your nominations as a list of links, and not a list of embeds!

Q: What if I want to make a third nomination
A: I will allow if it the bracket requires it. I will make a post in this thread requesting additional nominations

Q: Is this just limited to video game music?
A: Do other forms of media have a "game over" state? If so I suppose you can nominate them.

Q: This music plays when you die but not when you lose all your lives and the game resets.
A: Sounds like a game over to me.

Q: This music plays when you lose all your lives but not when you lose a life.
A: Sounds like a game over to me.

Q: This music plays when you "insert criteria here."
A: Look, you're busy. I'm busy. If you tell me this is a game over track I'm going to believe you.

Q: I've never heard Game Over music. I'm the best at video games.
A: Whatever you need to tell yourself friend.

Now let's nominate all the things!

Was a little confused: so it is a music thunderdrome, not an "this is what you get, in general, when you die" one? Because there's some chilling, goofy, or even just bizarre game overs in many games where it's just visuals or text with either a very low-key, nondescript theme, or nothing at all.

As I've stated, I have some AV Dome ideas that aren't strictly music and Mogri wants to do a fight Dome.

I'm all for having this discussion. Just not in my nomination thread please!

Gonna nominate some old games from deep into my childhood. These are both old PC games, so finding the right arrangements can be quite a pain.

From Silpheed: Little Moments of Peace. This is from an unofficial port, and adds a bit of extra instrumentation. I went with this verison, because some arrangements have great instruments but lack the percussion, while others have terrible instruments, but great drum samples. My head canon for the music is the best version, but this arrangement is close enough.

From Fire Hawk: Moonlight Sonata/Ending. How many games are willing to remix and expand upon Beethoven? Fire Hawk's soundtrack is wild in that the MSX2 and DOS versions have some wildly different arrangements, to the point that some tracks are almost entirely different. No idea why though.

So do you mean people should add 3rd nominations or more people should add their first two?

So when are we going to start? ( Not rushing anyone, just excited)
I have to figure out brackets and maths. Two things Im not good at. Hopefully I'll be able to start tomorrow.

Oh, and I also need to submit my two tracks. I get to do them late because I'm running things. if by chance you wanted to submit something and didn't I will allow it until the thread goes live tomorrow morning (PDT)
