Demon's Souls's remake just launched in a lot of the world alongside the PlayStation 5, and I think it would be apt to commemorate the larger series and From Software's modern catalogue for what's been a defining--yet less acknowledged--feature for them ever since they codified their current creative voice with the original Demon's Souls on PlayStation 3: the front-and-center player character creation. It's a massive draw for these games and many others, and often the most important deciding factor in whether I'm willing to give my time to a game, in being able to inhabit an avatar that I find in some way compelling, and influencing whether the play in question is sustainable. It can often make me invested in material I care little for otherwise, in the most extreme cases. Share as little or as much as you'd like about your chosen creations here, or discuss the particulars of any given game's creation suite as they demand. Here are a few of mine to start off with:
Demon's Souls
Dark Souls II
Bloodborne
Dark Souls III
Conan Exiles
That's all you're getting of this character because they are extremely naked.
Final Fantasy XIV
Mass Effect
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Monster Hunter: World
