Not many games period have better hubs.
Yeah. It's aged shockingly well. The only thing that shows its age is the camera control, and 90% of the time that's fine.Mario 64 is better than I remembered it. Mario is a joy to control, it's full of bite sized (although not necessarily easy) challenges that make it simple to hop in and out for a quick session, and I honestly don't think any 3D Mario has a better hubworld than Bowser's Castle in 64.
Inscryption is absolutely wild. It starts as a really cool creepy atmospheric card game. And then it goes ... places. So many places. At this point you could tell me anything about what the rest of this game is and I would believe you.
It was on Waypoint last week. Was this on a podcast or something that came out today? You're the third person to mention this game to me today and now I'm wondering if something made it come up.
Now all you have to do is beat her a few dozen more times in escalating difficulty levels in order to unlock everything! After fifteen years, I finally beat Aquafresh Kasumi in Dead or Alive 4. One of those demons I never managed to conquer from the Xbox 360 days has been vanquished at last! And I got... 10 gamerscore for it. Blah.
(Also... there's no apparent "easy" difficulty in DOA4, which annoys me. Come on, Tecmo, you know how cheap these games get!)
