You mean "Detective Comics show"? Because the comic's early issues were firmly rooted in DC continuity, and one of the main antagonists started as Steve Trevor's and Wonder Woman's daughter from Earth Two. I am enjoying seeing the series file away the references to the DCU at large while still winking at the viewer.Technically, The Sandman is a Detective Comics comic. I finished watching the show adaptation of it just now, and I must say: I think that they did a good job remaining true to the spirit of the source material, and that they produce some good television episodes. I hope that they get to make more.
I mean the worst part is, he's probably gonna get at least 40 bucks. So he has set up a gofundme for $3 million so he can get properly compensated. Not for a lawsuit, he just wants people to give him 3 million dollars.
It means it's basically dead. HBO Max was the one funding its production, and also the best natural home for a project like this. They'd need some other WBD subsidiary to pick it up and fund its production out of their own budgets, and the likelihood of that happening is pretty much nil with Zaslav tightening the purse string across the board.I don't understand the implications of this decision. Does it mean it's no longer an exclusive to HBO Max? It's not going to be on HBO Max at all?
