205 for me today. I didn't even have any real clues or path that led me to the answer, I basically got there randomly. Not a good effort.

WHOOF.

302. Had no clue what was going on at all until I guessed library (9) at 265 and then I finally had a direction. Other high-hit guesses were history (10), public (11), government (15) but they just couldn't narrow it down enough for me.

As much as this one was difficult I actually really liked it as a part of the game! It was probably the trickiest one yet to nail down what it's even about and was challenging but interesting.

238 today. Just kinda flopping around until about guess 200 or so, hit on the idea it was some kind of record of something, took a while to figure out what word it was looking for.

I missed yesterday (#81) because I was doing it at night and fell asleep, then poked at it early in the morning. I felt like I was getting close but ran out of time to get back to it and sit down to finish it before this morning's reset. What was the answer?

Got today's in 93 and felt like I should've gotten it a little earlier, but at least I think I was in the right general ballpark from the start.

71 today, which was a weird one. I felt like I had very little clue, until suddenly I got gates and then after that I somehow knew exactly what the answer was.

48, knew it was some sort of military/siege/weapony thing and managed to uncover "used against the wall". That and the second word being only three letters made it obvious to me.

101 for me, I feel like I should have gotten it earlier. Possibly I was thrown off by only two hits for my first guess, “war”, which you would think would get more mentions in an article about a siege weapon.

66 today, but part of that was that my early guesses were off the mark entirely, and then I filled up with support words. Once I got Earth I honed in on planets and astronomical, but it took a few more rounds before I thought on a smaller scale.

91, went in a few weird directions, I got oddly stuck on thinking it was a unit of measurement for no good reason. Wasn't until I guessed planet (3) at 72 that I got on the right track.. Another puzzle I liked despite my poor performance.

36 for #83

not bad, a couple of guesses wasted to typos and fills, but i had the general idea pretty quickly. kind of article that's easy to overcomplicate i think

42, I got a few things about the equator, along with words like “below” or “between” making me think it was a geographical region for a while.

I am ashamed it took me until my 119th guess to get to the first word of the title (which led me to solving it in 122). I did a lot of generic guessing and got "power" at 41, then was going around electricity until "computer" at 64, and then over 50 more guesses for stuff involving circuit boards and their components, hardware/software, development... Feels like I really should've had this one sooner. Bah!

Yeah, 77 guesses here. I got computer at 26, television at 37, and monitor and display right after, so I was in that rabbit hole for a little while. Even when I got video at 73, my next guesses were card and capture before the light bulb finally went off.

193, SHAME.

I had essentially no useful hits until I guessed system (20) at 62, but that didn't really guide me. The partially uncovered phrase that I stared at for a long time was "System [redacted] the Picture" and just had absolutely no idea where to go with that. Didn't occur to me that it was two different things.

Then I got media (23) at 87 and the few hits of things like copyright, law, film, image, design, home, software, music, industry just made me more confused. All the pieces were there, I just couldn't unite them until the end. Oh well.

66 guesses at 66.67% I found one phrase 5-7 year cycle that was specific enough that I decided to slip it into google and it was the first answer. I probably could have gotten but I was trying to narrow it down a touch after I guessed unit but it went a bit too far.

71 for me, definitely seems like a topic I should have got sooner. Up until about guess 67 I was just noodling with my usual fill-in-some-sentences terms, then I put device, then electronic, then video, game, console.

43, but partial cheat, got the back half of the title, but didn't want to throw guesses for something i didn't know immediately. It wasn't as obscure as i was imagining, but yea, not something i think about.

but yea, was able to get that it was mathematic pretty quickly, and threw out theorem with guess 22, so didn't take much from that.

162. I dinked around thinking it was some sort of monument or historical thing for a while, filled sentences in, and then got "surface" which led me from some sentence to "mathematics," "mathematical," and "theorem" right away, and I spent the next hundred guesses filling in everything I could think of related to math. I knew I probably wouldn't have gotten this one on my own but I didn't do any research until I really hit a wall, thinking I could just tease out a little more and get there myself. Ironically, I had blown right past part of the answer much earlier: on guesses 67-69 I guessed trigonometry, calculus, and geometry and yet somehow didn't think of algebra. Once I did go do research, I found what I figured was probably the answer, but first I guessed algebra to fill in what I should've remembered early, found it in the title, and then matched the last word. I miiiight have stumbled onto fundamental at some point, but oh well.

12 guesses today! I'm usually very bad at ones like this, so I'm pretty proud of myself.

Also, did anyone else get a security error trying to get to the Redactle site today? My browser is suddenly saying it doesn't support https anymore.

I actually did, not when I went to do the puzzle but later when I reopened it to check something. Said its certificate expired or something.

Yeah, got the security error too. Got it at 74. Term (2) is a word I'm starting to use more often in early guesses since it applies to a few different fields. It wasn't until I guessed sphere (6) that I started really going in the right direction. Once I found that derive had no hits I knew it had to be a lower math thing and guessed algebra and got it from there.

Edit: my spouse is guessing this and both number and numbers have the exact same number of hits (30) which I find highly amusing for some reason.

116 with only 31.9% accuracy. Those short articles really make it hard to fill in common words. With so many zeroes on my common guesses, I had absolutely no clue what it could be until I happened to hit "rule" (5) at guess 79 which got me on the right track. I got to answer word 2 at 85 and then identified the first word immediately for 86, but still spent 30 more guesses narrowing down the last one. When I finally got it I felt like I really should have guessed that earlier, but hey, that's how it goes sometimes!
