If I recall correctly, Science is the most worthless skill in the game. It's also one of the oddest; what do you mean there's no God, you talk to one every year.

Martial Arts classes, a sword and revenge on wolfkind!

Science is pretty worthless. I suppose it's the cheapest class for a reason? On a side note, It probably is a good idea to go ADVENTURING now and then. Mr. Pants relies almost completely on his ten year old daughter stabbing things or finding things in the wilderness to give her a good upbringing.

I'll put in my vote for not going too crazy. I still like the science nun plan, and it'd be nice if Nancy was well behaved and didn't have a messed-up childhood at all.

Any path would be equally entertaining and bizarre, as long as it keeps bringing in the loot without being too sordid, and should require at least a few mad fighting skills.

She's already been told she's useless by half the town, had back-to-back illnesses, and been neraly killed by monsters twice. We're kind of past that already.

Is there an ending where she marries some common young man her own age who you don't totally approve of but he seems to treat her well. And they live farther away than you would like and don't really visit enough. But they're so busy and you were that age too once so you understand...

We don't wanna make Nancy a Godslayer lest the game end up on a similar route to that other LP, but at least train her enough so she doesn't get one-shotted by angry men with bat parts and a name that looks due for a C&D from DC.

Normally, that's a recipe for super-villainy, but I doubt she's got any magic powers or affinity with evil swords to make it official.

Well, if you want evil we could hunt a lot and go for the Bondage Queen ending or something...

She's far too young for the boys to be thinking of her as a lady! Anyways, I continue to vote for science nun, and keeping combat experience for her to a minimum. Hopefully that trove of cash finding sandwiched between vicious maulings can be but a fond childhood memory of hers that funded the start of her more civilized life.

Alright, Talking time, let's continue our journey in parenting:





First of all, I forgot to mention it earlier but I've been talking with this guy. We can't talk to the next person up the ladder (the Royal Knight) because he believes our little darling is too uncouth and common to speak with the likes of him.



This month, we'll be continuing the "Nun" part in our science nun plan. Why just the nun part? Because fighting classes, that's what! We're going to teach our darling how to not die in combat!



She's doing fairly well now, impressing Sister Lee enough to get bonus pay! Unfortunately, the only thing that Nancy is good at gets her 12 gold for a week of bible study. Her morals and faith have climbed rather high, so perhaps it's time to invest Nancy's time in other things for now.



This guy is going to be teaching how to fight with her BARE HANDS. Because you don't expect us to actually buy her a weapon? After almost starving a few months ago, we're pinching as many pennies as we can.



Fighting classes are as cheap as science classes, and consist of Nancy kicking a log for nine days straight. We spent that much gold from nine days of schooling: can you see why money is so hard to come by?



Guess what time it is, kids? Adventure time!



See this thing? It looks kinda harmless, huh? And we kinda have to, since it probably would beat up poor little ten year old Nancy by... hurling itself at her. I don't know.



Damnit, not this guy again.



Investigating this cave, all we find is some graffiti telling us to "jump off of the ice bridge." Which we already knew is completely sane, harmless, and not suicidal, cave.



Well, we jump off the bridge on to a little ice island. And guess who's here to greet us?



Oh hell yes. We found a katana. Which, apparently, is waaaaay better than the European-style swords you could buy. After all, katanas are so sharp they can cut through plate mail and cause lightning to strike and volcanos to erupt when swung once.

It's also worth a lot, so if we ever wanted to sell it...

Until Nancy's fighting skills improve, expect to see this a lot.



When she gets home, our ten year old darling starts playing with her sword and gets into her usual dress.



Oh, and daddy accidentally gives her pocket money. Which reduces her stress by a good amount, which is good! Of course, it involves losing money, which is BAD.



After her little spending spree, Nancy gets to work at random places until her various skills (especially Constitution, from working on the farm) improve.



She's still not any good at farming. But she does get paid the twenty pieces she spent!



I honestly don't know why I had her work at the inn, especially since it reduces her combat skill. I probably confused what skills went up and down with another job. But she does make 32 gold from four days of good work.



To the Lake! Look at our young lady: she's proudly holding her sword and ready to fight!



Did I mention Nancy can't swim? Because it was her idea to go to the lake. Not mine.



Wait, what. Nancy, get the hell away from that creepy, smelly guy.

This picture doesn't do Cube enough justice. What it doesn't show you is Cube flying in, taking Nancy's katana right out of the kidnapper's hands with his teeth, then beating the crap out of said kidnapper and flying Nancy back.



It looks like that guy gave Nancy something funny, because she's feeling rather ill. Again.



We have Cube nurse her back to health until she's good and ready to go back to working!



She's improving! I'm so proud...



In more ways than one, as well. And just in time for...



The Harvest festival! Every September 30th, Nancy gets the chance to rise above the others in the kingdom for money, prizes, popularity, and other happy fun things! At this time every year, Mr. Pants also receives 500 gold from the king, as his salary for saving the kingdom. Yes, defeating a demon king and saving the kingdom is worth only 500 gold per year: not even enough to buy a nice shiny suit of mithril armor!



We could choose to have Nancy not to partake in the festivities, but that choice is for losers.



There are several options to choose from, but we're going to go with the most awesome-looking (Read: fighting) event first. Besides, unless your daughter's birthday is October 1st, it's almost impossible for her to do much during her first festival.



This is definitely a good idea!



Horst, the dude with the stupid-looking anime hair and tiny weapon, is described by the game as "rather average in strength and not very famous."



...however, "average and unknown" still translates to "being able to look happy after bashing a 10 year old girl's face open." Don't worry, Nancy's skull rebuilds itself in about three seconds due to being a loyal daughter of God. How do you think she's managed to survive so many beatings at her age? By other people, of course. Don't look at me like that.



Despite Cube's encouragement, Nancy's incredibly upset she didn't get to fight more people. I think this adventuring is a bad influence on her.



Yes, the Harvest Festival accounts for an entire month's worth of scheduling. Anyway, here's Nancy now! So, what shall we do now? She's getting sick often, and she's not very skilled in anything other than being a church girl. We have 522 gold to spend, so...

Get her Constitution up. She's getting sick way too often.

Samurai class? Gotta find some way to put that katana to use... or we could sell it.



The crowd seems rather unimpressed with this guy. I would be too.

Farm work interspersed with some fighting (she's got the cool sword and all - maybe she can learn to WIN a few fights) and protocol classes ('cos she might have to interact in polite society at some point in her life)?

I thought Science doesn't reduce Faith until later? Anyhow she needs to do more farm work since she needs more constitution to avoid getting sick. Also because it's the highest paying job currently.

Beat up kidnappers forever. They creep me out being the horrid Gnome/Saytrs they are.

Nancy needs to learn to fight. But she should do so the proper ladylike way. Therefore, I propose we should endeavor to increase her Refinement.
