generally it's a good idea to progress the non-standard arcana s-links at a steady pace (for P4G that's Aeon & Jester, I think)

otherwise there's a couple of points where it's easy to miss what you need to do to achieve the "true" ending but in both instances I believe you'll reach a credit roll before you can overwrite your last save so you can just go back and redo it

Golden has one of the best versions of the boss music I think, they only use it for the new stuff they added but I wish they'd used it more.

I kind of disagree, because while the remix is certainly neat the original 'I'll Face Myself' remains one of my absolute favorite boss tracks ever. But it is a matter of preference.

Obligatory Hi I'm Daisy comic for the early game (other ones have spoilers but you're past where this one is).

I cannot remember any part of early Persona 4 without inserting that comic version along side it.

I couldn't keep to 'follow the actual calendar' plan. I played ahead a bit. Rescued Yokiko, signed up for band, met Kanji, and now he's found himself trapped in the television. It's 5/21 in-game now.

And I'm guessing here is where it gets bad with LGBTQ stuff, right? It very much seems to be going that way.

Homophobia, imo. Yosukes "jokes", whenever they start, are just shitty. I think they are a constant, and only one time does he get a little bit of pushback.

The dungeon itself is the "Steamy Bathhouse", which already seems pretty cringe to me. And the way it ends is just frustrating.

In the end, it's only a small element, so it's not that hard to overlook. I just remember it as a constant thing, popping up at random intervals.

Again, decade old memory, so grain of salt.

Homophobia now, but back then it got a lot of positive writeups for representation and showing a journey of questioning. I found it to be a very closed-minded view of being gay/bi back then but want to be clear that many people did not, and there was a lot of "oh wow queer representation in a big Japanese game is exciting" press about it. There were also writeups saying it's realistic that a queer teenager in Japan at that time would react in such a homophobic way which adds some complexity to it.

I think Naoto's is way weirder/creepier though.
