initially envisioned the idea of Trollhunters as a live-action television series; however, this was deemed impractical due to budgetary concerns, and as a result he instead turned the idea into a book he co-wrote alongside Daniel Kraus. DreamWorks then planned to turn the book into an animated feature film, but eventually decided to instead turn it into a series.[5] In November 2017, del Toro announced that Trollhunters will be followed up by two sequel series titled 3Below and Wizards

So far I'm about halfway into 3Below. I think it's worth a discussion thread here. Any other fans?

Yeah, I started with it when the second season of Trollhunters hit a few years ago and I love it. It is very del Toro, in the best way. Which is guess is spoilers for the monsters not really (or solely) being the monsters. I was a little disappointed that it feels like each show after Trollhunters feels progressively more truncated, but they are still good shows.

I especially like the work they put into building the town and incidental characters. You see a character in Trollhunters play one role, then you see a whole other side of them in 3Below. I love that stuff.

Oh definitely. What would be a throw away background character usually gets a star turn at some point.

Regarding "Asteroid Rage" Season 2, Ep 7
Was not expecting the blossoming lesbian kiss. Nice.
