I've decided to play a Fatal Frame series marathon to get myself in a Halloweeny mood this year, and while I'm not exactly a practiced youtuber (or someone who regularly gets through complete sentences without stammering), I thought it might be fun to stream my playthroughs anyway.

Come check me out if you want to get your spoop on. I'll be on all week, time and work permitting.

I started with the Wii remake of Project Zero / Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, because I was able to get the Elgato to play nicely with the Wii U but not the PS3 (I'm waiting on an HDMI splitter to arrive). Assuming I'm able to get everything working by the time I manage to escape the Lost Village, I'll return to series order with I, then III, IV, and V. If not, then I'll just skip to IV and keep trying.

Anyway, this thread is for video game streaming that isn't an official Let's Play.

Eek! I really want to watch, but I haven't played FF2 myself and only know the basic premise. I'm m'ting the first three games myself over the next two weeks, so hopefully I can catch up on this one soon enough to watch your stream!

I've been streaming Resident Evil as well as Resident Evil (2002) all month, for the season. The next stream will be Tuesday evening, per the schedule, and then on Thursday I'll wrap up October with a run showing off all the endings in Symphony of the Night. No idea how long it'll take, but it ought to be fun. I'd always love to have more people cracking wise in the chat and generally sharing the good vibes, so do check it out and give a follow if you're interested.

Hey, I've been streaming more lately, too! So far it's been mostly kaizo Mario hacks over at twitch.tv/mcbanjomike, although I'll probably play some other retro stuff on my MiSTer once my parts come in. I generally stream from 10-11 PM EST, but it's hard to set up a schedule because I never know in advance which days I'll be available. Stop by if you're in the area, I have cute dog gifs for people who follow the channel!

So I just finished up, and wow. If you can manage to get your hands on a copy of the Wii remake of 2, I heartily recommend it. The translation is better, the voice acting is better, there are a total of 6 endings, tons more ghost photo ops, and you can interact with so much more of the environment. It's a very, very good remake.

I finished up 2 yesterday, and the new HDMI splitter arrived (and, more importantly, works), so I'm starting the original Fatal Frame today. Probably... soonish?

I used to stream pretty avidly, but got waylaid for a while by Path of Exile and FFXIV and COVID and who knows what else. The itch is coming back, though, so I'm doing a once-a-week thing playing whatever whimsically strikes me. (Though it'll probably be Caves of Qud before long. That's my mainstay!) Based on this Monday's, I really need to put some time in on audio engineering, though. Always tricky, that...

I feel like I get a nice audio balance in my videos where things are clean and undistorted, but I'm starting to realize that my overall volume level is pretty low. I should see if I can bump things up somehow, maybe look into adding some compression or something.

Mike only putting himself over, unbelievable. Mike has also been streaming with me and Matchstick (and the TTer Formerly Known As Stephen) for nightly Halloween things here. Tonight, I believe Mike is doing Clock Tower on SNES via MiSTer. I'll be in voice chat, others might be, too!

On Tuesday, I tried to 1cc Ghouls 'n' Ghosts. I didn't quite get there, but I think if I stick with it, I eventually will.

Former TT member/my friend is streaming for Extra Life over at twitch.tv/onthestick, he's starting with opening 700+ Hearthstone packs that he got somehow because he's been playing for like 82373892 years, I don't know. MCBanjoMike should be showing up, Matchstick should too, I'll be there after I eat dinner cuz I'm hungry, and Shakewell should be around maybe possibly. We're gonna do all sorts of stuff, and I will 1000% talk shit about Trump because fuck him (probably also Hades and Genshin too).

Ol' pal Calories will eventually be around for our semi-weekly Neverwinter Nights session too! We're not planning on going ALL night (we used to do it in person in Jan/Feb and have kinda stuck to that and will this year too) but we're gonna do something

I wish I could offer some advice here, but I haven't used one of those, unfortunately.


I intend to resume streaming tomorrow. I'll be picking up from where I left off with Demon's Souls (the original). I hope as many people as possible will join me at that time.
