I guess maybe it works better in that context? It just sounds to me like they're saying "look at it now," and there's a Goomba, which... well, is explained in the next bit.

In Japan, the game we know as Dragon Warrior was called Dragon Quest.

... and because battery-in-the-cart saves just kinda weren't a thing in Japan for a surprisingly long time, the first two games in the series originally had password based saves (formatted mostly as haiku).

The name was changed for the NES games because there was a tabletop RPG from that era that was named DragonQuest. After the Donkey Kong name kerfuffle I'm guessing Nintendo wanted to avoid any other issues like that.

Something that shocked me when I came across it a few years back is that the Black Omen from Chrono Trigger is not a levitating tower, but rather a spaceship/Star Destroyer.

That one's not as surprising to me, since the NES can only display a maximum of 25 colors at any given time. Gotta squeeze as much value out of them as you can!
