In honor of National Pizza Day I have decided to see how we like our pizzas to be cut (into wedges).

Well, option #2 is sort of like this (but that is an extreme example of how large the size difference might be):

In a crime procedural, when they find the empty apartment of a serial killer, that's the pizza they find cooling on his table.

I love square pieces of pizza. Maybe it’s a regional thing?
Do you live in the Midwest or near there? Per my understanding cutting a round pizza into squares (known as party cut or tavern cut) is something that is more often done there.

I grew up in the Midwest and definitely had square pizza slices there, but usually they were cut from a rectangular pizza. Also the rectangular pizza was basically always terrible.

OK, that's what I thought you meant by option 2, but I couldn't countenance the idea that anyone would have ever considered that a legitimate way to cut a pizza on purpose, much less a preferred one.

Donato's is a chain that cuts their round pizzas squarely, but they're also thin-crust so it works. That's not counting rectangular sheet pizzas, of course.
