Do new accounts get confirmation by now?

I found this message, when looking through the LPs of the TT 2.0 archive:

Unfortunately, we are putting new registrations on hold for a short time.

We do not expect this delay to extend beyond the first of November 2020, and we ask you for your patience in this matter.

Is this still the case? I'm not complaining, just wanted to make the mod-team aware. Considering that the situation should be cleared with November 2020, I assume people might have forgotten about this?

The further we get from November 2020, the more curious I get about this message. Are new registrations being confirmed now?

I know at least two new people have joined recently. But, they both were confirmed through actions taken on the Discord.
