The notice at the start of the video said it was all done in Blender, which is a regular old animation program. Apparently he even added fake wires to the characters to make it look more like stop-motion.

That aside, yes, this is absolutely wonderful. The animation wizardry is incredible; it's hard to believe this is really done entirely in Blender and not with actual puppets, since Worthi worked in so many small details to sell the illusion (like Yajima's collar moving slightly at times, as if there were a real person physically moving the puppet and nudging the collar slightly in the process). But it's also just really charming, and I'm surprised how well it sells the characters and their dynamics, simple as they are, as a long-running thing.

Especially since this one ended on a mysterious vortex hanger.
Yeah, that was fun. I've seen several faux stop-animations done in CGI, but this one was probably one of the best.

I love pretty much everything Worthikids puts out, but his attention to detail on the faux stop animation stuff is crazy.
