Taking down the Masked Man!
I'll let those of you who know more about wrestling just who who is and what it is that they do! All I know is that it isn't worth talking about Kin Corn Karn...
Ok, onto our second match against Starman. Who I've heard tell is cool enough to get permanently etched into your skin. As stated previously Starman is a tribute to Mil Mascaras who you can see below while he was World Champion back in 1975 Will this Luchador stand a chance against the Amazon? Not Likely! SMACK DOWN! So much for that! Next Match: Also coming next time!, A hell of a lot more pictures! You guys want wrestling and I'm sure as hell going to give it to you! Your Mascaras trivia - he was the first wrestler to work a match while wearing a mask in MSG history. New York had several curious rules in the 70s, such as curfews and restrictions on who could buy tickets. This resulted in wrestlers such as the Destroyer working MSG sans hoods whenever they came in, but demand from hispanic fans was such that the WWWF was able to get Mascaras around the rule. He was one of the many challengers to draw a sellout in MSG during "Superstar" Billy Graham's legendary run with the title in 1977, as Graham was the first WWWF heel champion to get an extended run and fans packed arenas all over the East Coast hoping to see one of their champions unseat the man who had stolen the belt from Bruno.
Mascaras actually appeared for the WWF in the 1997 Royal Rumble, and participated in a legendarily awful match with Mick Foley on a WCW Clash of the Champions that gets a chapter in Mick's first autobiography. Oh, and contrary to popular joke and a very similar last name, we are NOT related. |

I love this LP because it's showing me the rawest possible moves of wrestling, and that is completely awesome. I am shamefully ignorant of a lot of wrestling history so discovering Mascaras is a true delight.

I like this LP, but I feel like it needs to be video with two people doing really terrible, over the top WWF-style commentary. That would be radical.

Possible, I suppose, but Killer Kahn never achieved much fame on either side of the Pacific, but even less in his native Japan.
However, if he is, then Kin Korn Karn is even lamer than originally though, because he was based on a guy who pioneered the green mist, and didn't use it in the game. |

There must be an NES emulator that allows you to record while you play. If you can get that, then you can probably get a few people doing commentary over the match?

When asked how I picked up on it, I just said "I've been doing commentary in wrestling games for years." The problem with Pro Wrestling is that it'd be kinda repetitive, although I could make some Kerry Von Erich jokes about how all of Amazon'a opponents seem to be getting counted out. (for the origins of that incredibly obscure gag, go to historyofthewwe and look up Kerry's results for his WWF tenure. At least 90% feature him losing by countout) |

HOWEVER That wasn't so much to argue that Killer Kahn was a big star for his time (he was) as much as to point out that he's clearly the inspiration for Kin Korn Karn, with his mongolian chops (named so for Killer Kahn) goofy asian hat, and all. Rikidozan was a bad guess, it's no big deal or anything! Let us feud no more and bathe each other in our pro-wrestling love. *does that weird keijo muto gesture to signify that he is electrified by PRO WRESTLING LOVE* |

Okay! I got two commentators! and will begin cranking out video and sending it to them... If I can figure out how to splice their audio into the video synced then we'll really have something here!
Damn, who knew I'd learn so much playing a 20+ year old game? Old fashion update coming today or tomorrow though... It's King Karn Korn though so who cares, right? |

I had always just assumed that Kin Korn Karn was invented as an expression of good old fashioned Japan-hate-Korea racism.
At least this particular game doesn't have an A. Buchie or Coco Savege. |

Back in Nandub, you can then reencode the video using MP3 audio, so you just need to set the Video to Direct Stream Copy (unless you want to reencode the video as well), then select the MP3 you created as the audio source. Save the AVI, and you now have a commentator-ladden video! |

Well, the first isn't TOO bad because it's so famous, but Main Event is awful and WMIV is even worse (probably because Andre had to save himself for walking to the ring a couple of times after that). |

I LIED!
I have videos now of every fight up to the VGA championship and have begun uploading them to our secret commentators! If they're really cool they can dub it themselves or they can send it to me and I'll do it (somehow)
Even Kin Corn Karn gets to be experienced in wonderful fluid 2d animation! |

Hm, now, I'll admit that I don't know what your plan is, but I do know that commentators do tend to play off each other during matches. Maybe you would be best if you did something like have a Skype call between all the commentators, and have all of them also record their end of the call using something like Audacity. Everyone syncs the video play and comments over the Skype call which is also being recorded by Audacity. This lets all the commentators play off each others, and you can then combine all the recorded audios in your Audacity before reinserting it into the recorded video on your end.

It's funny how Korean-Japanese wrestlers have to downplay it heavy if they don't want to be heels, but when they succeed they usually end up some of the biggest stars in wrestling. Rikidozan, Riki Choshu, Akira Maeda... Maeda is especially interesting, because he's apparently some sort of weird self-hating Niho-Conservative.
