FYI if you don't rescue Igor/the gypsy after a few days there's a scene and then game over. Er, specifically if you don't free the gypsy, I don't think I ever released him then left Igor to see if anything special happens.

When last we saw Garcon he was catching up with his old friend the ogress witch, Baba Yaga. If you recall, it wasn't going well. Perseii found himself at the top of the dinner menu...

Default Quest for Glory: Baking Edition

Some of this stuff we already have. We bought a pie pan on our first trip to the general store and we've already pulled some bones out of the swamp. We know where to find goo, and I even think Danar has stumbled across the Elderbury bush already. Let's make the pie crust first:





With the bonemeal acquired Seepgood heads off into the forest to find the bush. It's a little north and to the east of Baba Yaga's hut and directly south of where we found the ghost Anna:



Everything says this plant is dangerous. So Garcon doesn't want to actually get close to the thing. Instead he tries to 'Fetch' some of the berries from the bush:



Drats! Maybe he could knock some off? Perseii casts Force Bolt:



Still not wanting to get too close he can now use 'Fetch' to retrieve the berries. We already have some grue goo in the inventory, Dr. Cranium just loves the stuff... Time to get baking!

Jackson adds the bonemeal to the pie pan:



Next he pours in the goo:




Then the elderburies:





...Yum?

We'll deliver this pie to Baba Yaga in the morning. Today has already been busy enough for Danar.

The next morning:



Looks like someone has got a hot date! When Seepgood steps out into the morning he's stopped by Dmitri:



Those gypsies are tricksy! Got to lock 'em up super tight... On the way to his morning workout at the Adventurer's Hall we check in with Igor:



I'm so happy to hear that! Now about that crypt key I was asking about earlier:



Isn't the little deformed guy sweet? After working out Garcon talks to Dimitri again:



We could lie or we could crow about facing off against the terrible evil that lurks in the very heart of this small town. I think you know what Perseii did:

Back at Baba Yaga's hut:

Default Gnomes Well That Ends Well

Right outside of town we run into Davy, the gypsy we saved the other night:







I appreciate how that revelation is just sort of tacked on there at the end. "Actually we do turn into wolves! See you tonight!" Uh... k?

Seepgood's social calendar is really filling up.

As soon as the Burgomeister sees us:

After that it's into the Inn, getting electrocuted by the doorknob and then into see the gnome. Unlucky for everyone before Garcon can hand over the Good Humor Bar the Nitwit starts telling jokes:

Despite having his humor restored. The jokes remain as unfunny as before. Jackson explains where the bar came from and what it does:

Garcon has a lot going on this evening. He has an invitation to see the gnome's last show in Mordavia (though I don't know how he the little guy plans on getting out of the valley), he has to meet Katrina once night falls, and he has an invite to the Gypsy camp at the north eastern end of the Mordavia.

Seeing as there is still daylight and he might be able to get away from the Gypsies by nightfall Perseii heads that way now:

This is Erana if I'm not mistaken. No one else comes close to being magical and positive and "here" in Mordavia.

Default Into the Crypt

If you recall last week Garcon had overbooked his evening and was expected to see the Gnome's last stand-up, meet Katrina outside the towngates, and stop in on the Gypsy's over in their camp on the far eastern end of the Valley.

You also recall that he only managed to do one of those things. So that means that tonight he's got to try to make the Gnome's thing and see Katrina. Oh, and do one other thing as well. We'll be doing a dry run of that other thing during the day. Got to fill up the time somehow!

First things first Perseii makes his rounds saying 'hi' to the townsfolk, working out, picking up his pills. It's on that last one, visitin, Dr. Cranium, where he finally meets the "Frankie" the Doc has been nattering on about!







"Dr. Cranium"



"Science"



"Frankie"



"...Ewwwhhh. That's kinda gross Doc."

We pick up our poison and healing pills and head out. As we leave the Doctor gets creepier, uh creepiest:



With his daily chores out of the way Jackson has to kill time before nightfall. Remember how the Inn's Domovoi said we needed to save the Innkeepeer's little daughter from the castle? Remember how we learned there was a way into the castle from the Borgov crypt? Remember when we saved Igor and he gave us the crypt key? Good. So let's make that happen! Except not really because for some reason during the day there isn't anything going on in the castle... Weird, huh? Wonder what that is all about.





So, I guess Danar pokes around some?

He finds this crest on the floor:

(That second one might be important?) He takes a look at the Grim Reaper statue by the stairs:



"Can do!"



Except Seepgood doesn't want to be outside. He wants to be in the dank, dark, smelly crypt. Back in he goes!



This has got to be part of a puzzle right? What are those colors? Pushes on the (B)lue, (Orange), (R)ed, (G)reen, (O)range, (V)iolet and:



Garcon takes the key he just discovered over to the hole in the casket he noticed earlier and:

Default Castle Milk Run

After wandering through the dark passageway we find:



Borgov Castle has a confusing layout. Here is a map of it but it is still kind of confusing and many of the rooms look identical to each other I'll try to make things as clear as possible...



There's a candle in this room that if we tweak it will re-open the bookcase we came in through and will take us back to the crypt as we just can't walk through the front gate out of this place... We take the door to the north which leads to some stairs (it's shown as going south on the map...) and end up in the great hall:



Oh, another thing that is important to note! All of these doors are locked and need to be picked. Some of them are squeeky and need to be oiled. I don't know which doors are which and so do both on all of them... The door under the stairs here just leads to an empty closet

"Huh, this place seems empty I wonder where everyone is?"

Heading east of the Great Hall:



A room with barrels! Exciting! Sadly, there is nothing in said barrels. Through the door:



"Walled up window? What's up with that?" *shrugs*

Perseii goes to open the chest and finds: A Wraith?!



Now, so far I've been avoiding fighting Wraiths as they drain your life away unless you have a special locket or spell given to you by Magda the Fortuneteller. We'll be seeing more of these in the near future!



Nothing else in this part of the castle. We head back to the library with the secret door to the crypt and head through the other door this time. Jackson wanders through more empty rooms:



We eventually encounter another room with a bookshelf:



We follow the secret passage that leads to another empty room:



No chests or wraiths here. Danar returns to wandering the seemingly empty castle eventually he finds himself outside the room marked 'A' on the map:





Okay... I guess we'll try again at night! If you remember some of the conversations we've had you can probably guess whose room that is and who that monster was!

Default I Walk a Lonely Hall

After some more wanderings, seriously ya'll this castle is a nightmare to navigate, Garcon finds himself in another library?



Perseii investigates the bookshelf only to find a puzzle!



Subtle...

Simply click on the books to spell out the word 'exit' and you'll open a secret passage that takes you to the room that had the tilted Borgov crest on a book shelf that we saw earlier... And with that we've explored most of the castle and we can't see the person we came to yet so Jackson leaves the castle for now in order to make the Gnome's last show. At the inn he talks to the townsfolk:



(please note that Garcon is the stranger. Yes, that call him that to his face...)



"Guys! I'm right here..."



Danar sits down to eat and for the first time ever the Innkeeper's wife stays after delivering our food:

Sidenote: for some of the most ancillary npcs Yuri and Bella are super charming. Once she starts talking to the Hero I love how she is so progressive and accepting and dragging her more conservative husband along with her. These two despite being nothing more than window dressing are some of my favorite NPCs in a game.

After talking with Bella we settle down for Punny Bones last show in Mordavia (though how he is getting out of the valley is unknown!)

Default Midnight Rescue

We last saw Garcon outside of the village of Mordavia, right after seeing Punny Bones last show and spending the day sneaking around Borgav Castle. Now that the sun has fallen Perseii heads back to the castle via the graveyard.

On the way though he runs into a Wraith's Barrow. The wraits no longer drain away our hero's life because of the aura spell he learned from Magda:





After the wraith encounter things are easy going until Jackson reaches the door right outside of the grand hall of the castle:



(make sure you oil the door before listening at it otherwise when you crack it open it squeaks terribly and Danar will be found out and killed)



Hey! Both of these people look vaguely familiar... Also, they both seem to have prominent canines...



"Katrina?! The nice peasant girl I was crushing on?! I totally did not see this coming at all!"





I'm sure she just wants to ask Seepgood out on a date and Ad Avis, didn't you recognize him?! is just jealous...

Garcon now heads back to the room that he was kicked out of earlier in the day... By that hairy monster thing, remember?



(Toby is fully voiced in game. So, yes there is a man making gurgly growling noises.)

We left Garcon at the Gypsy Camp talking to Magda. Magda related a vision to us but none of it made much sense. Perseii does some small talk with the old lady but what he really wants to ask her about is Erana:

Seepgood takes Tanya and Toby back to town and before Erana's Staff. No, I don't know how he got them over the wall. Toby probably climbed over it carrying Tanya, or she flew over...

Anyway! Now that Toby, Tanya, and the Staff are all in the same place:















And with that we have completed the very hard task that the Inn Domovoi had set out for us! We've also set the end game into action!

If you recall from last weekend Toby gave up his life to save Tanya through the power of Erana's staff and the Destiny spell.

Garcon wakes up the morning after that event and go downstairs. No sooner have we sit down to eat than Yuri speaks to us:
