Look we might have accepted his proposal on accident, but we *did* accept it, so we might as well roll with it.
He can come. |

Let the old guy dance.
Geez. Is that so hard? |

Dude's a geezer. He probably remembers when home phones were a thing.

Exactly. I mean he has obviously developed vision problems. And I'm sure his hair was a much darker shade of lavender when he was in his prime.

He's basically twice our age. The shoe fits.

Quick update today:
We decided that we do want to be seen with grandpa, so let's invite the purple prince duke to party. King Dad seems oddly emotionless about it this time. Joslyn: There is a letter for you as well. Elodie: (She's complaining that her mother still wont let her come home for the holidays.) (Apparently her uncle Devan has been acting strangely lately and shouting at shadows.) (She's bored and looking for an adventure. Well, I don't have any to suggest to her!) No adventures for us! No sir! We're just a nice boring teenage magical monarch surrounded by intrigue at every turn! Anyway, we sneak out of the castle for the weekend to have a nice non-adventure and get our willfulness up a bit. And now we have some choices to make. Here's where we stand right now: Our mood is Angry but is so close, we can shift to whatever we want next weekend: So what do we want to train? More magical lasers would probably be useful, but we've got that dance coming up. Do we want to wow everyone with our sick moves? Or do we follow Kalir's advice and throw it all away to become a doctor? |

Clearly the most important skill which you need to max out is decoration.

Pound everything into dance!

Magic is the only friend I need.

#282

Dance > magic! We know this to be true!

#283
Neither Dancing nor Magic have the razzle dazzle you need to really excel without the eye for color and flash you can only get from Decoration!

remember, at a ball, it's not about how well you dance, it's about how noticeable you are
by that token, train Presence (i will accept Decoration if no one else votes presence though) |

Holy shit, maybe those points in Divination DID work.

Alright! Time to learn some... decoration?
It won the vote 4 to 2. Let's decorate! And here we see the dangers of training when your mood is running against you. With a -1 mood modifier we're training decoration at half speed. It takes 2 full sessions to bump the skill up just one tier. Sometimes you'll be working with a -2 or even a -3 if events don't go your way. At that point, you can't even get the paltry points we just learned and you have to find something else to train. Anyway, festival time! Joslyn: Will you be leading the parade? If you have any concerns about your safety, please, stay here. The people will recover from disappointment; if we lose you, there is no recovery. C'mon King Dad, everyone loves a parade! What do you think Talking Time? |
#287
Make an angry speech!
...is what I'd say if we had any aptitude for Public Speaking, but I think we're going to have to just march. |
#288

Yeah, showing up mute sounds good
#289

Agree here.

I agree. Don't speak at all and carry a big marching stick.

Lead the parade

Also Steam is taking their annual award nominations and I put this in for the "Choices Matter" award.
