The newer Discovery missions are actually pretty good. They don't feel rushed like the earlier stuff did (especially that tutorial where they used find and replace), and it's not quite as lack of agency stuff that the whole DS9 stuff had. Oh, it's there, but at least you're acknowledged.
At the same time, I'm just not interested in any of the Discovery stuff. So it's ho hum at best right now, and they're unlikely to wow me in the near future. |

Episode 187 Our captains say farewell, as our 7 year journey comes to an end. I put more of my thoughts in the video, but honestly in the last year I just found that it was getting harder and harder to be engaged in STO. And that made me really sad, because at the same time I still really had a good time with it. Who knows, I may come back some day in the future. Until then, this captain's log is closed and archived. |

Thank you so much for sharing it with us! 187 episodes is quite something!

I'm only slightly disappointed that I didn't manage to do another 3 episodes so I could have ended on a nice even number, but I still had a really good run. Man, I sure had some wild times, including that 4 month block back in 2014 where I was recording in a stairwell on spotty internet because I was on deployment.
I'm glad that there's been people who followed along the way! That anyone else got enjoyment out of this silly project of mine makes it all worthwhile. |
