Episode 109

The war is finally over, so now the Federation can get back to their normal mission of exploration and discovery. And our captains are right there on the front lines.

Our captains get called back to Deep Space 9 to deal with terrorists once again, as we check out the remastered Cardassian Struggle series.

Episode 114

Our captains get wrangled by Q to help defend a gingerbread village from snowmen.

There's... a lot of footage to scour through, so I have some questions.

1. Can I just start like five episodes ago?

2. Are you using the same character as when you first started?

3. Unrelated to your LP, but... Any tips for someone who wants to return to the game and make a new character?

If you're planning on coming back to the game with a new character, you probably should go back further as they've made a lot of changes even in just the last year.

That said, if you're making a new character, the Romulans have the best story/tutorial, but they have to pick to ally either with the Feds or Klinks early on. Klink tutorial is most fun. If you have active characters, at least grind up the Romulan rep before you create a Romulan so you have the option for a Reman, otherwise you have to pay for it.

In any case, they revamped, um, just about everything short of the old Featured Episodes. But after the Romulan Mystery storyline, all the plotlines merge together anyway. Though the Romulan take on the Romulan Mystery is the best, bar none.

It would be fine, for the most part. The series is meant to be a record of the game, showing the missions as they were at that time, and following up on them if they get updates. Since the only story throughline is the game's own, a lot of our episodes for the past few months have just been side stuff, though what story ones there are are continuations of ones from months prior to that.

Actually, we haven't. We made new characters for covering each of the 3 faction leveling stories, as that makes it easier to follow them, but once we reached the common "endgame" we switched to our main characters, which has been the ones we've used for quite a while now.

The new character experience is overall better for all of the factions, but as Eishtmo mentions, the Romulan storyline is overall the strongest until you reach the common stuff. However, that said, while actual playable content is going to be all faction agnostic, the vast majority of new ships are going to be Federation, and not accessible to Fed-aligned Romulans.
