Cube is not combat-capable, though. Not at the moment, anyway.

Well, it's easy to imagine what it looks like. Just think of some other, probably more famous series by Square Enix that has something called a Behemoth, and there, done.

Perfect!
I can't remember, are there any other FF references in Live A Live? |

I think the FFV behemoth has a more suitable pose.

Oh nooooooooooo Yeah, no big deal. Now that Cube's out of there we have to find Kato and the Colonel. They're not in the Colonel's room, or anywhere else on the second floor. I am currently looking for both Kato and Corporal Darth. Please take care to avoid the Behemoth. Yeah sure we'll try that. Note that the Behemoth's cage doesn't seem to have been torn open. Looks like it was opened from the outside. A door closes in front of Cube near the cockpit on the third floor. Maybe they're in that area? They're not in the cockpit, but we do find… Who's this? When we return to the second floor something fast and hard to screenshot flits into Kato's room. |

Whoa Must be the prototype he left in the third floor. DOUBLE CUBE What the hell!? Dead dudes: 4. It's a hazard to our continued survival! I'm going to destroy them both! Cube couldn't have done something like that! And we're given control again. Talking to the other Cube leads to the two of them butting heads. |

This shit again. Corporal: Someone's controlling this thing remotely! Who the hell are you? It's the ship's Mother Computer… Corporal: The Mother Computer!? Do you mean to say that someone tampered with it? Corporal: What!? Kato: I-I don't know. B-but it's possible. Then this whole time we've just been played for fools! |

The elevator won't work, naturally. Not much of a surprise. I could destroy the lock…But if I damaged the mainframe. the entire ship'd shut down…and we'd all die... He should know some way to bypass the computer. I'll wait here. The Power Jack can be used to open the vent screens too. This way Cube can navigate to the different floors of the ship with ease. ….Are you all right? …You want to know OD-10's weaknesses? |

If we destroy it, we'll never make it back to Earth. Yeah! Oh… So we just take it over without destroying the hardware. The Behemoth almost gets us on the way out, too. Fiddling with the terminal doesn't do anything for us. [b]Kato said that you could get inside the Computer? Then let's do that. Sheesh, to think that I'm asking help from a robot… With this we can communicate at a distance, naturally. I'm at the terminal room, but it doesn't look like there's any way in. We don't really have much time to think about this! This isn't good. He's just lurking for now, at least. But there might just be a way we can put an end to all of this. |

Yes. Hold on! I'll connect that game to the Mother Computer! Yessssssssssss There's no time to hesitate, though. [b]I was built to maintain harmony_ Therefore, my will is absolute Nobody will stand in my way_ Anyone who tries . . . . . . Will be terminated ! Captain Square's opening starts to play, but it breaks pretty quickly. The tenth planet revealed. |

We're IN THE GAME Also I think that's a typo right there. Heh. Upgrade is a buff, Mind Hack is a full screen sleep attack (useless for this fight), Anti Field is a counterattack, Noise Stream weakens defense, Info Research deals a little damage and shows the targets HP, Spin Drive is a small AOE, and Maser Cannon is a piercing ranged attack. Those lotus things are Stabilizers. Each does this every turn it gets, so we'll want to get rid of them. Maser Cannon is pretty great. Cube's battle sprite has some pretty great animations. A single Maser Cannon will one shot any of the Stabilizers, so this doesn't take too long. The Mother Computer itself also focuses on healing the stabilizers while they're still up, so she's not a threat yet. High Speed Analysis doesn't do much damage, but the IQ down could be a problem. The Mother Computer doesn't have much HP anyway. |

The Mother Computer is not very tough; fitting for a chapter with no required combat aside from this fight. I was given the job of protecting the crew But the humans who gave me this job Fought amongst themselves_ Destroyed all sense of balance Tried to disturb the operation of this ship I do not understand humans Humans . . . Cannot be trusted_ A select portion of the conversations recorded were purged. You'd almost be better off trying to swim through space! You thought that if you killed Kirk… …You thought I'd come back to you, right? That's what you thought! Right!? |

This vessel uses an intelligent maintenance system, designation OD-10 Due to trouble with the system, the Computer's logic circuits have been disabled. But if something that seems unusual occurs, please do not hesitate to ask a crew member about it. You don't believe me? Well, whatever. That doesn't make any difference now anyway. Hee. There was a huge war. I can never forget that fear… Combat robots. Or rather, the computers within their heads... Machines built by humans… We're such a foolish species. I'm sure this ship's Mother Computer simply gave up on us… …and not on a military ship. Huey told you to learn. So, that's what you should do. Telling a robot to think? |

As I haven't started playing a new chapter yet, I think I'll hold a vote for the next one.
Your options are: NINJA COWBOY KUNG FU These aren't the only remaining chapters, but they're the ones I'm considering playing next. Voting closes sometime tomorrow make your time |

NINJA is my favorite chapter, but there's no need to hit it just yet. I also vote for COWBOY.

I love that sci-fi chapter, and Cube has a pretty decent move list. Never beat all of Captain Square though.
Going to vote Cowboy for the next chapter. |

We've already covered two of the least conventional chapters. Let's save cowboy for later. I vote for not cowboy.
