This really is eye-opening; I remember disliking the game because of its aesthetic, but something my adolescent mind glossed over is that it barely has any actual puzzles - it's almost nothing but fetch quests and plot-driven doors!

What, were you expecting something naughty?
Okay, that's a little bit odd to say the least. I guess she kind of likes her new feet??? Oh well.

That being say, I have to say I like troll Rosella's character designed more then her human self. She's kind of generic 'blond chick', but as a troll she does look different then the other trolls and stands out from the rest.

I've been enjoying this LP, normally I don't do videos very long, but this one has been fun.

And so the disaster known as King's Quest VII continues! Can Rosella solve the sudden wave of pet-related issues in Ooga Booga?

After the slow-as-molasses previous part, it's nice to get back to something actually happening. Otar is found, but at what cost? Watch and find out for yourself!

I wonder what would happen if you used the wand on yourself....

Also... been watching reviews of The Room of late?

You can't actually use the wand on yourself, although I'm sure that's just because the developers didn't think up a gruesome enough game over for that to be an option. And yes, I did see the Nostalgia Critic review of The Room before Mr. Wiseau's overprotective webmaster pulled a C&D on it.

Dang, it would have been fun to zap yourself into oblivion, or into a bug and have your inventory smash you or something. Oh well, one less deaths in a KQ game.

I also managed to catch the review, to bad it got pulled, but there's still the rifftrax.

Default Yes, I rent movies just for the Rifftrax, why do you ask?

Wow. Just...this game hurts my soul. I mean, I know that I'm judging it a bit unfairly since the first time I've seen it has been fifteen or so years after release, but - did they not have anyone actually sit down and play this game before they released it?

Great LP, though. Snarky commentary makes everything better! Maybe they should have made a game featuring that mockingbird instead.

Is this said review? Geez, I really need to get the Rifftrax now - though I'm fairly sure that it will break my mind.

Chapter 4 finally comes to a close! Apologies for taking forever to get this part finished. You may blame Dragon Quest IX; I do.

Rosella's crippling Sierra protagonist idiocy aside, that trowel line was actually pretty good.

Chapter 5 begins not so much with a bang as with a "who the hell designed these puzzles anyway?", and it only goes downhill from there. There's no getting offa this trainwreck 'til it reaches the end of the line!

Wow... that was a short transformation. Seems like it should have lasted longer (it would have been interesting to see what the people in the city said to her like that... you know, if they were around).

Maybe the shadow dog has something to do with the crying lady?

Since crying about Rosella would logically get a response from the crying lady, I assume it does nothing?

Wait, I'm more confused than normal here:

When Rosella got to Falderal, the Duke made it sound like Valanice had already been pardoned and left, but when Valanice used the mirror, Rosella had already descended into the volcano. And even if there wasn't a temporal anomaly, how did they not pass each other at some point, and why did Attus have to zap the swamp creature that Rosella defoliated? I mean, plot holes are one thing, but you could drive a mac truck through these.

Now you can see why I awarded Moon Logic points for this particular plot hole during Part XII. It's more like a plot canyon, to use a term coined by Film Brain. If ever you wanted proof that KQ7 was rushed, the story ties between Chapters 4, 5, and 6 are more than enough evidence to cement it.

Even with YouTube's extended 15-minute limit, I'm still resorting to 2-segment videos. Mostly because they announced it AFTER I'd recorded the footage for this part. Go figure.

Default Unrelated to the content, but to the spirit of the LP...

So, it turns out my sister is dating a dangerous lunatic.

What do you get when you combine a dozen dangling plot threads with a fast-approaching deadline? Chapter 6, of course!

What, no death by volcano! No level of zaniness can make up for that oversight. Seriously, what where they thinking?

Not quite sure what you did to fix the wand. Did you just look at it funny?

I clicked on the little basically-invisible dot on the bottom of it. It's so tiny that you wouldn't know it's there if not for the fact that the action cursor goes into "holy shit you can interact with that" mode when you hover over it. Which not many people ever did since there's exactly 2 items in the game that need you to rotate them to progress (the other being the basket in chapter 1).

This is it. The big one. The video you've all been waiting for. King's Quest VII is finally OVER! But will I survive it with my sanity intact? Watch and see for yourself...

Good LP, though not a good game. I don't remember thinking the game was this bad when I was playing it. But then I was still deep inside the Sierra Cult.

Ack, what a terrible game from the puzzles to the art direction and animation to the voice acting. You're a better man than me!

Oh, how nice, they fly off on a Black swan in the bad ending and a white swan in the good ending. You can almost hear Film Brain yelling out "SYMBOLISM!!" in the background.

I'm kind of glad I gave up on the King's Quest series after 5, this one is just painful to watch, I can't imagine how frustrating it was to play it. Still, after all of that it's a very good LP, I hope you do more video LPs in the future.

Still kind of wish Rosella stayed a troll a bit longer, or just kept finding herself transformed through the game. Would have at least be different then "Generic Blond Chick #25".

Y'know, it probably is for the best that I never got any farther than the cheese/fountain/hook debacle. I think I was around middle school at that time and no one needs both middle school and King's Quest VII at the same point in their lives.

Wow... uh, well, that was certainly... um... King's Quest VII.

Nice job getting through that mess, Sky Render! I especially got a kick out of your much-improved credits sequence at the very end.

Well... You lived at least long enough to get the last video up, so congratulations!

I also liked your redone credits. At least someone cared enough to give the series the send-off it used to deserve.
