I'm not gonna be able to watch 24/7, so what reruns should I try to catch later?

Aw man. I missed the Mega Man X 100% race! When do the vids go up on YouTube usually?

I definitely want to see the NES block. Zoda's Revenge, Gimmick!, and Batman in particular. I also saw Ristar in there, and I'll probably watch all of the Castlevania block.

I imagine it'll be tomorrow.

Metal Wolf Chaos and Oracle of Ages later tonight.

Nintendogs is tomorrow, the hell.

Big old Castlevania block on Tuesday. 5 games, damn.

Wednesday I see Mass Effect 2 and Golden Sun (6 hour run)

Thursday has the Sonic block and Doom Eternal DLC run.

Friday has a Factorio run and Breath of the Wild, all Dungeons.

Saturday has a Super Metroid race, Super Meat Boy and a co-op of SMB3.

I ordered an Untitled Goose Game shirt from the Yetee.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention the two kaizo SMW runs that will be happening this year. Fellow Canadian and extremely nice dude Superben will be running the infamous Storks and Apes and Crocodiles, and the laid-back MrMightyMouse will be running the all-cape extravaganza, Let's Give Up. They're both cool guys and incredible players, but their runs are scheduled at 1:20 and 2:20 AM on Saturday the 10th, so I won't be able to watch them live. If you only check out one, I would recommend Let's Give Up. The cape has some incredibly cool mechanics in SMW and this hack exploits them for all they're worth, it's a blast to watch.

If you want to watch it now, it starts at 4:52:00 in this VOD.

I'm pretty curious about the Horizon Zero Dawn run, I have no idea what speed strats would even look like for a game like that.

I watched the end of the NES block. The Gimmick! run was fun. Amagon’s such a bad game, but everyone’s got nostalgia for something.

The "reverse boss adventure" run of Cave Story 3D is extremely disorienting for several reasons. It looks like it has what looks like the most trivially executable wrong-warp glitch I've ever seen in a game.

This makes me curious, because I love Cave Story, but CS3D is so eye-searingly ugly that I’m almost afraid to watch.

I'm actually surprised how often that game comes up on some folks' lists. I don't get the love, but I'm sure there are games I still like that aren't great, either.

Shadow of the Colossus just finished up, and that one really had the qualities that make speedruns really watchable: it basically just looks like extremely skilled casual play with a handful of mindblowing and really legible skips.

The "Talkatoo%" category Super Mario Odyssey speedrun was impressively played and well-commentated, and it's a really fun, randomizer-like format to boot. The Talkatoo character who shows up in most worlds will name three uncollected but accessible moons at random, and the player may only collect moons that have been so named or that are part of the main storyline.

The commentary on this was also a lot of fun. Just a really enjoyable run, all around.

Agreed. Dangers always puts on a good show.

Also check out the Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land Meta-Knightmare race. Really tight race, and the runners are enthusiastic and clearly having a great time.

Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth was pretty neat. It was cathartic but embarassing to watch the bosses who gave me fits destroyed so handily.
Pacifist Ninja Gaiden is never not impressive.
Wait. Do you mean the NES game!?

I didn't catch the run until halfway through, but what was happening was so bewildering that I just had to keep watching in spite of the game being as ugly as sin.

Now, having watched the first half-hour of the run that I missed and hearing a proper explanation of the glitch the run abuses, I have to say it's a literal miracle that the run doesn't crash the game and brick the 3DS and cause the runner's house to catch on fire.

I tried watching Cave Story 3D but the runner's audio was borked and it was just too hard to listen to. So far I've watched Colossus, Mega Man X, and half of the SMB2 run.

Maimai was incredible to the point I felt panicked by what I was seeing. How is that even physically possible?
