Here's what I bought with my gift cards:
Taiko no Tatsujin Drum n'Fun- Definitely worth the $15 sale price, not the full $50. The motion controls are a bit goofy and too bad the drum controller never came to the US.
Yono and the Celestial Elephants- I've had this on my wishlist for at least a year after a few people on TT said they liked it. I've only played a few minutes of it so no opinions yet.
I'm debating
Penny Punching Princess ($10 instead of $40) and
Golf Story ($7.50 instead of $15)
. Anyone have thoughts on those?
These are the "definitely get" eShop games:
Clubhouse Games - so much fun. Also if you have multiple Switches only one person needs a copy of the game to play multiplayer of everything. It's so fun to be able to play Hanafuda together.
Untitled Goose Game- If you havne't played this yet you need to. The 2-player addition is great too.
Gris- Beautiful, haunting game.
Kero Blaster- Took a chance on this one when we did it for a Fun Club and really liked it! I'm not good enough to do the hard mode stuff but still enjoyed myself.
Puzzle Quest- This is on a billion platforms so may not be worth getting, but it fixed the sound bug on the 3DS version.
Collection of Mana- I imported the Japanese version of this when it came out since I figured there was zero chance of it coming to NA. Glad to be wrong.
Trials of Mana- I really like this remake although I think ultimately the SNES version is the one I prefer. If you've never played the original game I'd definitely play this instead of the original, there's a lot of streamlining updates.
Mario Rabbids Kingdom Battle- Why is this so fun? This shouldn't be so fun.
And here are my eShop "get them on sale" games:
Cattails, daily quest game where you forage, hunt and fight for territory. The game is frustrating until you level up your skills as it's just too hard to play but then becomes extremely charming.
Windbound, I liked it and had a lot of fun but it needs polish. Get the Halloween DLC weapon, there was no way I could have beaten the game without it.
The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince- very neat art style, the story takes a bit of an unexpected turn which is cool but the actual gameplay gets repetitive.
