I planned on starting Tomb Raider (2013) and the sound ONLY works in the cut scenes. I feel like I've tried everything and when that didn't work, I moved to Darksiders... and the sound also didn't work on that. A lot of my smaller games that I played before seem to have no issue and I'm playing the game through the speakers on my TV. Does anyone have any idea what the issue is?

Hm... Two things leap to mind: do you have another way to connect it to something (display port, etc) AND/OR is it currently connected to another monitor/tv via another connection? My sound gets weird when I have my PC (also a Dell) connected to both my monitor and speakers (via display port) and my TV (via HDMI), and even changing the sound settings from one to the other doesn't always do it. In those cases, a change to the source I want to use and a restart usually does it, though I kinda suspect you've already restarted your PC.

Yeah, many times. And I don't have any other sources except headphones. Weirdly, it did work ONCE after I put in my head phones, got no sound at all, pulled them out and the sound was there. But then in trying that trick again, I got nothing. Sound I hust by some speakers? I remember I had an issue with Fallout 4 and the local PC repair people said "using other speakers should work" and I was like "great", then never got around to it. If having speakers would prevent this from happening a bunch, I'd pony up for them.
