I posted my thoughts on my various games of the year for various reasons:

TLDR on my game of the year:

Honorable Mention to Splatoon 3 (which my mental health has a complicated relationship with), Outer Wilds (which I liked enough to be on the list but didn't actually finish), and Streets of Rage 4 (which I only particularly like in co-op modes).

Of the games I played for the first time last year that didn't come out in 2022, I'd say Kirby: Planet Robobot and Spiritfarer were the two I had the most fun with.

Also played God of War (2018) which was pretty good but not a super fave. I liked the story more than the gameplay.
