The Villainydome: The Greater of 67 Evils

Oof, tough one, but Devil from Outer Space

Rated Ages 6+
(He, Him)
Be Prepared for Number One

unrelated, I missed the vote but I would have picked Other Side over Oogie as well. It was one of my origial choices.

Johnny Unusual

Audrey II isn't down and out in skid row while The Devil is in the details

Match 54

It’s an all ladies edition today! First, @Daikaiju brings “I’m the Bad Guy” from Wander Over Yonder. According to one of the animators, Lord Dominator was originally going to have a look more akin to an anime villain. Against it is @Issun 's Poor Unfortunate Souls from The Little Mermaid. Apparently some of the lyrics were changed in the 2023 film because, in the words of Alan Menkin "…lines that might make young girls somehow feel that they shouldn't speak out of turn, even though Ursula is clearly manipulating Ariel to give up her voice."

I’m the Bad Guy – Lord Dominator

Poor Unfortunate Souls - Usula

Match 55

Then it’s ALL SPINEL ALL THE TIME! Other Friends Vs. Drift Away from @SpoonyBard and @Daikaiju respectively. Will the winner be the vengeful song or the sad song. Worth noting fitting in with the themes of being OK with being a work in progress, Spinel sadly hasn’t been when the movie started, being an "out-of-date cartoon that never evolved".

Drift Away - Spinel

Other Friends - Spinel

Johnny Unusual

Ursula makes a deal and Spinel wants to hang out with her other friends.

Match 56

@Torzelbaum goes with You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch. There was actually a pretty decent parody in an episode of Freakazoid where the singer’s claims are less impressive “If you invited me to go to the movies with you, I… PROBABLY WOULDN’T GO!” Against it is Lo Pan Style via @Purple . Lo-Pan is referenced to have been cursed by Qin Shi Huang, a real emperor in China who has been fictionalized a lot in pop culture.

You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch – The Grinch

Lo Pan Style – Lo Pan

Match 57

Then it’s my pick of Sweet Transvestite from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. You know, I’ve never actually finished this film. I watched it at too young an age; not because of the saucy references, which largely flew over my head but when Meatloaf is beaten into, well, meatloaf, I just found it too upsetting and couldn’t go on. I do need to give it another chance sometime. It faces @WildcatJF ’s pick of Want You Gone from Portal 2 which… I’ve never played. I beat the first one in an evening but never played the second. I hope you are excited by Johnny Unusual explaining pop culture he hasn’t fully engaged with.

Sweet Transvestite – Dr. Frank N Furter

Want You Gone - GLaDos

Johnny Unusual

GLaDos and Frank N Furter are tied! I need someone who hasn't voted to break it or it will be broken by coin toss.

But the Grinch only leaves a crumb not even big enough for a mouse.

Match 58

Round 3 is ending! It’s king vs. usurper as King George in Hamilton brings “You’ll Be Back” to face Yzma from the Emperor’s New Groove has “Snuff Out the Light.” @ThornGhost and @Violentvixen

You’ll Be Back – King George

Snuff Out the Light - Yzma

Match 59

Then it’s Disney against Disney parody. Dr. Facilier with “Friends on the Other Side” from The Princess and the Frog and Mr. Burns with See My Vest from the Simpsons episode “Two Dozen and One Greyhounds.”

Me and @SpoonyBard

Friends on the Other Side – Dr. Facilier

See My Vest – Mr. Burns
