The Series-ously SX-y Xbox Thread with the super not great name that I may need to workshop

I think you need Series specific updates to take advantage of things like ray tracing, and to get the fastest possible load times. I do agree that the difference between a Series specific port and XBox One game enhanced on the Series can sometimes feel negligible. Like Jedi Fallen Order has a Series S/X upgrade now, and I honestly couldn't tell the difference between before and after aside from I couldn't store it on my external SSD anymore.

Okay, here's what I don't get about Smart Delivery. So Microsoft gives you a free next gen upgrade for some games, right? That's great, just spiffy, but Xbox Series is backward compatible with the Xbox One by default, and can improve performance in various ways, either through faster loading or higher frame rates. At what point does an Xbox Series specific game and an Xbox One game enhanced by the Xbox Series make any substantial difference?
You don’t have to pay for it a second time

My understanding is that "Enhanced by Series X" games depend on the what the developer has done to enhance said games. Presumably, some developers will put in more work there than others, so it's not surprising that there's no effective difference on some games.

Resident Evil 8 on series X looks miles better than on One X.

Optimized for Series X shows in the shop. But really depends on the budget of the game. Some BC games have gotten frame rate upgrades, HDR etc. And even if they haven't, load times make it worth your time

I don't know why I like this controller colour scheme so much? It seems like it should clash and I'm a little baffled by the collab with a nail polish company but I think it's really fun?!

Well blue and orange are supposed to be complementary colors.

"Complementary colours have the highest level of contrast between their two hues, which makes them much easier for an observer to see."

If I hadn’t just bought the (beautiful) Stellar Shift controller, i would almost certainly have gotten the peach and blue one. I’m really happy to see people making controllers in fun colors!

Orange/teal is supposed to be an appealing color contrast, so much movies were abusing that in editing for awhile.

Tried to settle in and relax with some videos last night, but now the media player won't play videos streamed from my computer! It shows all the folders and files and everything, but when I click to run it, it's just the name, a black screen, and silence.

Windows updated yesterday morning, and now I can no longer run the built-in Video Editor I've been using. I wonder if the update screwed this up, too?

Edit: Okay, so I've tried everything from shutting it down and restarting to searching for updates to uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and the only thing that works is using a usb drive for the videos. Sounds like a Windows-side problem to me.
