talking about comedy - what's so funny?

As a Swede, I can assure you that it's almost 100% accurate to at least one popular 90s Swedish musician, and the parody lyrics are only a tiny bit more ridiculous than the real deal:

The only thing missing from the parody video is a reveal where the woman shown isn't actually the woman singing, because the singer wasn't considered pretty enough to be in a music video. Yes, that did happen.

Yeah, something that makes it work is that the exaggerations are rooted in genuine affection for what it's parodying.

I mean 90s song I think I'm thinking of was Gonna Make You Sweat but given this was the 90s I imagine it happened pretty damn often in the genre

I recently decided to create English subtitles for a sketch by the Swedish comedy group Galenskaparna. It's about a certain infamous Swedish video game streamer, before he had become infamous. I believe most of the comedy is understandable thanks to the subtitles, but you can read some translation comments and background information over on my blog.

I chose to translate this sketch in particular because it's about video games, but now I'm considering maybe translating other Swedish comedy sketches that I like.
