Not exactly a video game ad, per se, but maybe we can let this slide?
Did anyone ever have one of those? I never did and I've always wondered how well they worked.
I did. Saved up a bit of money as a young kid for it even. It was as underwhelming as you might expect.
I've always been intrigued, but not enough to buy one. It's sort of like a touchscreen control in a way, isn't it? If I'm reading the ad right, that is; like, no push, just touch?

This commercial got me hot under the collar every time they showed it on Turner stations. Every. Time. It prompted much griping about how a Super NES cartridge is by any objective standard forty times better than some crap handheld that plays abstract versions of games that were popular on the Atari 2600.

Ground Zero Texas seems like it's a prequel to Captain Power.
Always liked this ad, tbh. Made me a little curious about the game, even if I already know better.
Given what people get up to nowadays, I wonder how hard it would be for someone to hack the ROM to add something like that.
That's actually kind of close to a gag from the most recent Predator movie.
