Y'all I might be getting better at this game? I can go back and just destroy earlier monsters. Just wreck them and it feels great. I'm about to go up against Diabolos so that is exciting!

That's good to know! I usually use pit and shock traps. I dont think I know how to make those so I should figure that out...
Superman Dive™ will help you a lot against Diablos if you haven't been using it. You dive by running AWAY from the monster with your weapon sheathed and dodging while running. But you HAVE to be facing away from them. So if you have them in the center of the screen, you wanna run towards the camera. You do a big belly flop if you do it right, and you're fully invincible while you do it
There's certain moves that you have to Dive later in the game, and Diablos has a move that you can technically dodge other ways but...well, you'll see.

I've reached the last area of the game I think. It's the one full of reskins of all the other monsters and is mostly crystals and lava! I've got to track down Negrigante (Sp?) but I don't really want to. Also, there's a bunch of other stuff going on right now. Some other monster has shown up that is also apparently bad news (it just destroys stuff) and I've still not been able to hunt the blue Rathos or the lava catfish. Oh, and that dickish dragon that flies all over the place and dive bombs you when you're in the middle of a fight with another monster and drops bombs everywhere. That thing is a really fucking prick. Got to kill him too.

Credits rolling! I used help in the last four fights by sending up SOS flares. I think the Fire Elder Dragon was the worst, the effluvia one was the easiest. The very last monster was relatively easy as well. Slow moving and so large that it was easy to stay behind them.
I do want to try and go back and to beat them by myself, but I think this is a good time to take a break. I ended up sticking with the dual blades the entire game.

The last thing I was expecting was a Witcher cross-over? literally, WTF?!

Oh damn, shit gets real fast in this game. I was fucking around w/ Beotodus and I certainly found out. Going to have to rethink my strategy of running in whaling on a monster and then running out. The snow kills my movement/speed.
You're gonna need an armor upgrade. Like, there is a threshold that you don't hit yet (assuming you don't have new armor).
Why did they make an entire aspect of this new game taking pictures but then make actually taking pictures nigh impossible?!
The only way to access it is through one of the numerous radial wheels and then I can get the camera up and there are all these button explanations on how to do what and which buttons does which. But none of those buttons takes the picture. You know the most important part of the camera?!

You can safely ignore that and not lose anything except, like, weapon charms? I don't even know, but nothing important for sure
The only new mechanics you need to learn is how the clutch claw works. Wall bonking monsters is basically a free damage phase every time they're not enraged (there's a tutorial mission about it but the short version is grab slinger ammo, grapple to their face, spin them towards a wall, and fire the slinger and they run into the wall and take damage and fall down). Not to mention each weapon got new moves, but I have no idea what dual blades got because I'm not a degenerate
