elementary my dear baxter
I am on my third playthrough and I have yet to beat it once.
First time was because I was playing on PS4 and the performance was pretty bad, causing things to load so slowly I'd have to sit in a cave for several minutes before the environment would load in.
Then I played on PC for a while and it was beautiful and ran smoother but I like playing on a big screen and I find the act of hooking my PC up to my TV too cumbersome to do for one game.
So now I'm playing again on PS4 because I've got a new external hard drive (the old one was lightning damaged and slow) and the game has had a performance update anyhoo. And so far it's been eminently playable.
I'm also playing on Hardcore. Because I'm an idiot. But damn does it keep the game tense as hell, especially now that it's about time I start going deep, and won't necessarily be able to flee to the surface if my transportation gets destroyed.
Anyway hopefully I won't drown down there and lose all my progress forever and have to start over.
Also I hatched a cuddlefish for the first time on this save, so, big accomplishment there.
