In answer to your first question, nope, that's just the way thing are now. As for collecting all the badges, it isn't a particularly onerous task. You will need to find all the grubs to accomplish it, though, so I don't know if that's something that will deter you.

There is an item that will show you where all the grubs are so it's not too bad. The meanest requirement for all badges imo is the big crazy platforming nonsense you have to do for the last one. But that just takes patience.

I really liked the way they handled the grub hunt, basically the perfect approach to a collect-a-thon in a game like this.

Me when I'm trying to beat a dream boss: This is so stupid. It's just a mess of unforgiving chaotic damage that's totally luck based. This sucks, it's no fun-

Me as soon as I beat the dream boss: A+ great game, love it Team Cherry keep up the good work.

It's not that I'm scared of fighting the Radiance. I just... think I'll probably be done with the game for a while when I do beat it so I want to make sure I knock out as much other stuff as possible. So I decided to fight enough dream bosses to get the trophy and did the Soul Tyrant, and the Failed Knight, who I beat by throwing big stinky leeches at him every time my spider minions gathered up enough soul.

Played a little of the Godseeker DLC too, but a series of ever increasingly insane boss rushes is just not my style. At least for now. I think I'm just about ready to put the game down and play something else for a bit. Sekiro has been calling to me.

I hate Hollow Knight now.

Kind of.

I just don't think I can grok its hardest challenges. I tried to fight Dracula a bunch of times and it... I know I overuse this term but it is literally impossible. Like I can't even dodge his attacks at all. I actually can't do it. I watch what other players to do to beat him and I can't do those things. It's impossible.

So I dunno. I guess I beat most of the game's content but late game challenges like the Trial of the Fool and Grimm are just never ever going to be completed by me so I guess it's over.
