FFTA2's auction minigame is the best minigame in any rpg ever
Part of the genesis of this thread is I couldn't sleep a week or two ago and was listening to old episodes of Retronauts, and your effusive praise for it reminded me I really need to give it another shot. My mother in law is here right now and I'm annoyed I can't go upstairs and play it right now, so that's a good sign lolFinal fantasy tactics is in my top five games of all time. I'm so jealous that you get to experience it fresh!
Once I unlocked the auctions for each region I spent the next several hours engrossed in it until I had pretty much beaten them all. by that point I had completely forgotten everything about the rest of the game and never returned to itPlease go on!
I see that your opinion of Algus is the same as that of most other good and decent people.good riddance, prick
you're right on about that Richie Rich-looking asshole.
Saw you ask about height further upthread, but Dorter Slums is the fight that is built to teach you how height advantages and disadvantages work so hopefully getting through that helped. Also, shading usually shows you where the height gradients are in a map.Got some time to play, thankfully caught up to where I'd been before, this time without any weird glitches. Almost beat the slums level without anyone getting knocked out, then the two enemy mages got instacast spells twice in a row, which is frustrating because *my* Black Mage doesn't very often lol. Oh well, still having fun. Looking forward to new content tomorrow! Lol
Orator? Oh, you mean a Mediator.Alright, I made it to chapter 2. I had no idea you could recruit monsters - I got a Goblin with my Orator in a random battle, and between chapters a monster egg appeared in my party. This is not a bad thing, right? lol
I've done it in a couple of playthroughs but sometimes I won't even bother recruiting him. When you guys play FFT, do you bother leveling up Cloud or is it not worth it
I remember someone in Top 50 JRPGs mentioning that they leveled Cloud to 99 once and he still sucked. When you guys play FFT, do you bother leveling up Cloud or is it not worth it
